Commercial traineeship

A lot of different marketing departments come together within the Commercial traineeship. You can think of assignments like Shopper Marketing, Business Development or Brand Management. As a commercial trainee you will work with both, international and national clients. FrieslandCampina does not only have iconic B2C brands such as Campina and Chocomel, a big part of our business is in the B2B market. In our Commercial Traineeship our aim is to give you the opportunity to experience both a B2B and B2C assignment. This way you get to experience both sides of the FrieslandCampina business in just two years!

Examples of assignments


Shopper Marketing- Drinks category
If you get an assignment as shopper marketeer in the drinks category, your responsibility is to ensure that the drinks category grows at Dutch retailers by influencing consumers on the shop floor. You could think of organising sales promotions or coordinating the creation of new POS materials. In this assignment you work together with internal marketing and sales departments of FrieslandCampina and external advertising- and artwork agencies.

Global Customer Development & Shopper Marketing
In this assignment you support the Customer Development & Shopper Marketing department, for example within the sales department of the EMEA area. You work together with sales directors of different countries and examine best practices in the different markets. You support in creating a strategic plan for all countries and ensure one way of working across the different markets. This international assignment gives you the opportunity to come in contact with all facets of the commercial discipline of FrieslandCampina.

"I mean, how cool is this: I just started my traineeship at FrieslandCampina and I am already one of the Brand Managers of Optimel. Explore what you like

"The traineeship offers you the opportunity to discover what you really like in a job at the start of your career. For example, if you start your first assignment in a B2C marketing role for a local yoghurt brand, you can decide to discover the opportunities of a B2B sales role in cheese for your second assignment.
