The Technology Department at FrieslandCampina's Veghel site is preparing for the future by continuously improving its processes. One of our key focus areas is process optimization and increasing production capacity. As demand for FrieslandCampina ingredients grows, our production must meet new performance standards.
Do you want to contribute to the improvement of our processes that contribute to safety, quality, sustainability improvement and cost decrease, at one of the largest plants of FrieslandCampina? - You are doing a relevant bachelor / master, such as chemical engineering, food technology, or process technology.
- You are a hands-on problem solver and able to quickly acquire the necessary skills.

Descrierea postului vacant
At the Veghel site, we produce Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC), a high-protein ingredient derived from caseinate whey—a by-product of caseinate production. The production process involves multiple filtration steps, starting with Reverse Osmosis (RO) to concentrate the whey, followed by Ultrafiltration (UF) to increase protein content while removing lactose and minerals.
To optimize the WPC production line, we aim to increase the dry matter content achieved during RO. This internship will focus on investigating how higher dry matter levels affect the UF process. You will analyze the impact on UF performance and explore how process parameters can be adjusted to maintain product specifications.
