Development Specialist
For the IFT Friso Premium team of Specialized Nutrition development in our Wageningen Innovation Centre, we are looking for a Product Developer.
Within FrieslandCampina Innovation, the Ultra Premium Friso China team develops new and improved products and processes for infants and toddlers. For this vulnerable group, quality is critical, and as a Product Developer, you will participate in new product development, -compliance, and optimization projects. In multidisciplinary project teams, you create and implement new, innovative and improved products for the global Friso brand.
We challenge you to bring your expertise and develop the next generation nutritional concepts and make the connection between consumer needs and our capabilities to deliver maximum value. You are familiar with the functionality of the products we supply and the associated requirements, and you know how processing affects the product properties.
What we ask
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Food Technology, Chemistry, or Process Technology.
Relevant experience with product development (>3 years), preferably in the food or infant nutrition area
Have affinity with data processing and systems.
Have the ability to manage delivery to time, cost, and quality while working with and influencing key stakeholders.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
You have a broader view than just your position, and you can act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results.

Your team, Friso Premium, consists of 9 other product developers of different nationalities. Vacancy description
As Product Developer your tasks and responsibilities amongst others will be:
Participate in innovation and renovation projects.
Plan, prepare and carry out pilot and production scale trials.
Analyze and interpret results both on the pilot scale and factory scale and report these with an academic style.
Build and share know-how and vision in infant & toddler nutrition.
Contribute to initiating new ideas and projects and translating ideas into tangible deliverables.
Connect and maintain a good relationship with the stakeholders, both internal (product, nutritional, and process technology experts) within FrieslandCampina R&D and external (e.g., production location, quality, regulatory affairs).
