Manager Production
(co)Develop and ensure realization of the operations strategy site Veghel, manage and monitor the Weiketen manufacturing process and related safety aspects, ensure availability of people and/or assets, facilities and resources and oversee investments in- and optimization of the plant manufacturing process in line with Veghel/SC Ingredients strategy and applicable guidelines in order to ensure and optimize an efficient, reliable and safe production process.
What we ask
- Academic/Master Degree working and thinking level, preferably in Food Technology or Technical Business;
- Minimum 12 years relevant work experience including 3 years managerial experience in manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge, implementation experience and proven track record within Safety & Quality.

Vacancy description
- SHE & Q Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with SHE&Q standards within the Weiketen and identify, examine and assess (safety) risks in line with internal and external regulations and standards;
- Strategy: Develop the operations strategy for the Weiketen, in line with overall Veghel/ SC Ingredients strategy;
- Year plan/Budget: Translate strategy for site Veghel and the input from Managers/ Team leaders into a year plan/budget for the Weiketen and acquire approval;
- Execution Year plan: Ensure the implementation of the year plan, monitor the progress and if necessary, take measures, in line with the applicable guidelines;
- Resource Management: Manage, allocate and optimize the resources of the production facility/facilities (materials, people, equipment) and projects;
- Management Information; Provide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines;
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze current (work)processes, signal and evaluate bottlenecks and initiate and implement improvements;
- People Management: Appoint, lead, coach and appraise employees and develop (the cooperation between) employees of the plant using the instruments, service and procedures of the HRM department;
- Relation Management: Build and maintain a network of relevant (external) stakeholders/partners as well as manage the relation with the (direct) environment of the plant;
- Projects: Initiate, define, plan, manage and/ or coordinate assigned projects, within the project management guidelines;
- Cost of Supervision: ensure that the production costs are in line with the annual budget;
- PMT-member Veghel: member of the site Plant Management Team and as such co-responsible for the overall location performance.

Context Site Veghel: The site processes ~1.5 billion Kg Milk and ~1 billion kg milk equivalent of Cheese whey (approximately 25 till 30% of the total RFC milk stream).
Make Veghel is part of Business Group Ingredients and employs approximately 500 full time employees. In Veghel we produce a range of Business to Business dairy based ingredients that are sold and distributed by Ingredients Go To Market entities for the Pharmaceutical, Infant Food and Sports Nutrition markets (Caseinates, Whey Protein Concentrates (WPC), Lactose and feed). The milk processing capacity in Veghel - which is resulting from several expansion projects - currently consists of approximately 30 million kilograms of milk per week and approximately the same amount of cheese whey.
