Technical Sales Specialist Beverage

Do you get energy from working side by side with strategic customers and have a passion for coffee and tea? Then this position might be a great fit! We are seeking a talented Technical Sales Professional for our Coffee and Tea business in APAC.

 

In this role you will maintain regular contacts with current business relations and identify opportunities with potential customers. In close cooperation with other functional disciplines, you will directly influence the ambitious growth strategy of FrieslandCampina Professional in APAC. Your focus will be on beverage applications, such as coffee and tea for the Industry and HoReCa channel. As Technical Sales Specialist you will join the global Technical Sales team and directly report to the head of Technical Sales.

What we ask

  • Combination of content know-how (product/ingredient/application) combined with a great commercial compass (i.e. business savviness, customer centric)
  • Academics in relevant discipline preferable in Food Technology or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge about beverage applications and the role of ingredients in the final applications
  • Skills to maintain and manage internal and external relationships
  • Market / customer oriented team player
  • Affinity to work in and with different cultures and like to travel

In this job as Technical Sales Specialist you carry to following responsibilities:

  • Contribute as first line technical expert to the success of our customers
  • Be the application expert for the coffee and tea business
  • Maintain regular contacts with current business relations
  • Translate customer needs to technical solutions and internal development projects/applications.
  • Identify new business opportunities with potential customers
  • Sustain current business by driving customer experiences
  • Craft compelling value propositions
  • Execution and optimization of the technical sales processes
  • Ensure technical knowledge sharing for our internal and external sales force and relevant stakeholder
  • Give internal and external concept demonstrations and technical trainings, for example during product introductions.
