Site Manager R&D

Are you ready to be the driving force behind our state-of-the-art Innovation Centre? We're seeking a dynamic Site Manager to oversee the complete management, coordination, and smooth operation of our facility. Together with your team you'll handle everything from facility management and QSHE compliance to maintaining high-quality standards and managing administrative functions like goods management and payment systems. Plus, you'll be the face of our Innovation Centre, facilitating collaborations and partnerships with external companies and stakeholders.

What we ask

•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facility or site management, preferably in a research or innovation-driven environment. Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and ensuring operational efficiency.
•    Expertise in facility management, SHE regulations, quality systems, and administrative processes like goods and raw material management, inventory control and payment systems. You are proficient in project management and reporting tools.
•    You inspire and lead a diverse team, fostering collaboration. Encourage your team to embrace and adapt to organizational changes. 
•    Your interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to build and maintain strong relationships with external companies and research institutions.
•    You have a deep understanding of facility operations, maintenance, and technical services with the ability to quickly address operational challenges.
•    You proactively identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
•    You are highly organized with a focus on efficient facility management, resource allocation, and project execution.

Vacancy description

•    Ensure the Innovation Centre operates efficiently by overseeing infrastructure maintenance and equipment, and liaising with the technical services team to address operational needs.
•    Act as the primary representative of the Innovation Centre to external parties. Build and nurture collaborations with companies, research institutions, and other partners to create new opportunities for innovation and growth.
•    Lead a multidisciplinary team comprising a SHE specialist, QA specialist, administrators (responsible for goods and raw material management), a key user (COUPA), and the technical services team. 
•    Manage the budgets for facility management and maintenance. Responsible for the CAPEX portfolio planning for the Innovation Centre in close collaboration with the finance team.
•    You are responsible to ensure the Innovation Centre adheres to all safety, health and environmental regulations and internal policies. You work closely with the SHE specialist to monitor safety performance and implement improvements as needed.
•    Collaborate with the QA specialist to maintain high standards in the quality of operations, ensuring all processes meet internal and regulatory requirements.
•    Oversee the administrative team responsible for the flow of goods (incoming and outgoing) and raw material management. Ensure timely and accurate inventory management to support research and development activities.
•    Coordinate with the technical services team to ensure the maintenance and repair of equipment and infrastructure, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.

You will be part of the R&D Operational Management Team. You ensure accurate reporting on financial, facility operations, SHE performance, QA metrics, and administrative activities. You manage a team consisting of a SHE Specialist, QA Specialist, administrators, key user COUPA and the Technical Services team. You report to the Global R&D Director.
