What we ask

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology
  • Experience in operations within the pharmaceutical-, life sciences-, fine chemicals-, Nutraceuticals or food industry
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for coaching, mentoring and team/people development
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; including 5+ years of managerial experience (preferably with budget and/or P&L responsibility)
  • Proven experience in successfully implementing and sustaining Operational Excellence and Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing people combined with a hands-on mentality

Vacancy description

  • Operational performance in line with business needs and customer expectations including reporting of key performance indicators
  • Champions Health & Safety, Environmental (HSE) activities at DFE Pharma Foxhol and ensures compliance with DFE global HSE policies
  • Ensures that all activities at Borculo site are conducted to cGMP and ISO9001, ISO14001 standards and aligned with DFE pharma’s global quality standards
  • Build a high performance team which results in continuous improvement of safety, quality  and efficiency scores
  • Align with support departments on projects and build long term roadmap towards a future proof plant including the preparation and execution of CAPEX projects
  • Production Management: Plan and produce conform set targets and prevent unplanned downtime
  • Providing satisfactory answers to questions and demands of our pharmaceutical customer base. Combining technical understanding of process and products with pharmaceutical requirements

  • You will report to the Manufacturing Director as part of the Global Manufacturing Team, which includes all DFE Pharma production facilities and the Supply Chain & Operations group
  • You will be managing our production site in Foxhol with responsibility for about 25 co-workers that are mainly working on the production of high-quality superdisintegrants for pharmaceutical application
  • You will work in close connection with the headquarters in Goch, Germany, the other production sites worldwide and with our (key-account) sales community to improve customer service on technical, quality and delivery related topics
