Teamlead Material Planning

We are looking for a Team Lead Material Planning Europe, with a strong drive towards customer satisfaction and operational excellence, to join our Supply Team in the Business Group Professional & Trading

- You have a pro-active/ result-oriented attitude, are a team player and you show cost awareness in your actions and decisions
- You continuously look for opportunities and improvements within daily work context, take ownership in implementing solutions, and you have good communication skills
- Bachelor/ master level in Supply Chain management/ or otherwise an APICS certification
- Knowledge of SAP planning systems & PowerBI preferred, and minimum of 1-2 years working experience within a B2B Supply Chain environment
- Good proficiency in English (speaking & writing), speaking Dutch and/or German is a plus
- Willingness to travel to Meppel (1 day per week) & Lippstadt (2 days per month), besides working in Amersfoort

Lead a Material supply team
- Leads a team of 3 material planners at location Meppel & Lippstadt
- Sets up and executes a team year plan based on the department year plans together with the Local Supply Lead Meppel and Local Supply Lead Lippstadt
- Supports with daily operating tasks in order to create a smooth and efficient material plan aiming for high availability of materials with lowest costs possible
- First level of escalation in case of operational material planning issues / first point of contact for procurement team for operational topics
People development
- Leads, coaches, motivates and develops team members
Planning of raw and auxiliary materials
- Responsible for planning of raw and packaging materials given the internal stock policies to ensure availability of materials based on production planning while minimizing costs
- Set ups contingency plans of supplier in case of shortage to prevent delivery issues
- Tactical alignment with suppliers (performance reviews / long term capacity outlooks)
- Responsible for stock management of raw and packaging materials (e.g. stock accuracy, FIFO principles)
Continuous improvement
- Continuously looks for opportunities & improvements within daily work context and take ownership in implementing solutions such improvements of methods or systems
Information & Communication
- Provides KPI dashboards and insights at request or at own initiative by means of periodical and ad hoc reports and/or analyses

The Team Lead Material Planning Europe is part of the Customer Supply Chain Professional. This Customer Supply Chain is supporting the 2Billion sized Business Group Professional & Trading. The material supply lead needs to work under time pressure and be flexible based on changes in production planning or production output. Given current scarcity in market on various Raw and Pack materials this role is more important than ever before.
