Customer Service Officer

Do you put customers at the heart of everything you do? Are you ready to make a real impact in a fast moving international market? Join our Customer Service team and ensure a smooth, customer focused Order-to-Cash process for our Americas business. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and international customers, manage complex orders, and contribute to smarter ways of working, including leveraging AI for process optimisation. Our portfolio includes for example cheese, milk powder and evaporated milk, and you’ll play a key role in getting these products to customers worldwide.

What we ask

  • Higher Vocational Education (HBO) level;
  • Experience with SAP;
  • Proficiency in English and Dutch, basic Spanish is a plus;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel;
  • Experience Customer Support role (must-have) and in FMCG/Dairy is a plus;
  • Willingness to work flexibly due to time zones (no strict 9-to-5 mindset);
  • Pro-active, solution oriented with a can-do mentality.

Vacancy description

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers in North and South America;
  • Manage the end-to-end order process in SAP: accurate order entry, monitoring, and documentation;
  • Handle order-related inquiries and proactively communicate with international customers and internal teams such as Demand Planning, Logistics, and Sales;
  • Coordinate the complaint process, including financial settlement;
  • Provide Stock & Sales data (VMI) to support forecasting and improve availability;
  • Maintain logistical master data and work independently on customer projects;
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives (LEAN principles) and think out-of-the-box to optimise processes.

You’ll be based in Meppel, joining a Customer Service team of 14 colleagues for Americas & Export Europe. Together, we ensure our dairy products reach customers worldwide in the right quantity, with the highest quality and accurate information. We continuously improve processes and embrace technology to deliver the best possible service.
