Priscila’s story

Priscila came to the Netherlands in 2017 when she won a scholarship to study her Master’s and PhD. Originally she is from Aguascalientes, Mexico. In 2022 she joined FrieslandCampina to develop a sustainable long-term sourcing strategy for hiring critical roles. Which includes the responsibility of building a sourcing team and upscaling capabilities within the Dutch Talent Acquisition team. 

I have a passion for complexity and challenges. Having a strategic role and being able to contribute to the growth and development of RFC motivates me a lot.

Courageous by Nature

Since Priscila was a child, her family encouraged her to have a sporty life. “I tried several sports before, but when I was 18 years my cousins dare me to try boxing. As I was seen as a little princess by my family, I was curious to take the risk and give it a chance”.

In Mexico Women training in boxing is not common. But since the first training she fell in love with the sport. It took Priscila discipline and hard work to be successful in boxing. Thanks to herself, but also the support of her coach Miguel Ortiz she kept going. “It’s been 12 years and every time I go back to Mexico I train with him”.

For me being brave doesn't mean that I am not afraid, sometimes I am, however, I decide to conquer the feeling and set a mindset of what if?

Bring it on

Priscila really likes a challenge, also at work. In her current role, she needs to be strategic and dare to contribute in different disciplines, influencing diverse stakeholders and improving and creating new ways of working. "I believe that I am responsible for my growth and development, and FrieslandCampina really supports me in this. My manager is truly interested in my development. However, is clear for me that I am on the lead. I seek resources and create new learning opportunities”.
