I am always keen to discover new things

Jan-Jaap started as Finance Trainee at FrieslandCampina three years ago. In that time he has already worked in various roles in different locations. “Currently I am ‘flying keep’ as a Plant Controller. I work for a short period at a production location, where for example more controlling capacity is needed.”. In his spare time, he likes to clear his head by exercising outside. He is currently training for half a triathlon, so he regularly runs, cycles or swims. “Running gives me relaxation to think or to clear my head. Besides, it’s always possible to go for a run!”.

I am always keen to discover new things. As a Plant Controller I like to work at various factories, and I try out different sports in my spare time.  

What he likes best about his current position is interacting with every part of the manufacturing process. “I am very curious, and I find it interesting to get in touch with every step. As a Plant Controller you need to know something about everything.”. This also means that he collaborates with various departments within the factory. “My work is super diverse and challenging due to all the different facets. When I work together on a project with colleagues, we talk in kilograms, but ultimately it is up to me to attach the actual euros to this.”.
