  • Minimum of 5 years of international B2B Sales experience with a proven track record in Business development, preferably in the nutrition or food ingredients industry
  • Entrepreneur, willing to take ownership, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently and with a team
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams
  • Experience with Opportunity Management and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 30-50% of the time

FrieslandCampina Ingredients seeks a New Business Development Manager to join our Sales team. This plays a pivotal role in our goal of accelerating growth in the dynamic Performance and Active nutrition segment. Your primary focus will be expanding our B2B customer base for our high-quality proteins and prebiotics portfolio. Our customers trust our premium ingredients in various applications, including ready-to-drink beverages, bars, powders, and supplements. With your expertise, you can drive customer projects to successful business outcomes. By following up on leads, building an opportunity funnel, and developing clients, you will significantly contribute to our success.

  • Drive New Business Development: Implement strategies to achieve commercial targets related to new business growth.
  • Expanding customer base and building network:  Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients to expand our customer base in Adult Nutrition. Cultivate new customer relationships while also managing recently established accounts.
  • Follow up on and qualify leads generated by our campaigns: Engage with potential clients who have shown interest through our marketing campaigns, assessing their needs and potential for conversion.
  • Manage and develop our opportunity funnel: Oversee the process of qualifying leads and converting potential business opportunities into successful deals.
  • Support market mapping efforts: Assist in analyzing and understanding the market landscape, trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Identify customer needs: Conduct thorough research and engage with clients to understand their requirements and challenges.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop propositions for customers and secure business: Work closely with marketing and technical teams to gain insights and create compelling propositions that address customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Develop and enhance value-based selling skills: Continuously improve your ability to sell based on the value and benefits of our products, rather than just price, to better meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $100,000 to $130,000 annually.  Pay is based on qualifications necessary for the position, including years of work experience, education/training, and other considerations permissible by law.  We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records per applicable laws.
