Regional Sales Manager EMEA

What we ask

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field

Experience: Minimum of 10 years in sales management, with at least 5 years in a regional or territory management role. Experience in international B2B excipient or pharmaceutical is required

Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite

Vacancy description

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for overseeing sales operations within Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. This key leadership role focuses on driving sales growth, managing a team of sales professionals, and developing strategic initiatives to maximize market share. The RSM will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of regional sales targets, the cultivation of customer relationships, and the alignment of regional goals with the company’s broader objectives.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve growth and profitability targets

  • Analyze regional market trends and adjust strategies accordingly

  • Identify new business opportunities, channels, and potential customers

  • Drive the development of the growth pipeline at direct customers and through distributors

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and motivate, a team of Sales Managers and Customer Support Officers  to achieve individual and collective sales goals

  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and training to enhance team capabilities

  • Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team to encourage achievement and growth

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.

  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues to ensure satisfaction and retention

Distributor management:

  • Manage and optimize distributor performance

Sales Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and provide regular reports on regional sales performance

  • Monitor key sales metrics and take corrective actions when necessary to meet objectives

Budgeting:

  • Track and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring cost-efficiency

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the different functions within DFE Pharma to align sales strategies and deliver exceptional service

  • Participate in the development and execution of regional marketing campaigns.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:

  • Stay informed about competitor activities, market conditions, and industry trends to adjust sales strategies

  • Provide feedback to the executive team on market opportunities and competitive threats

  • You will report to the Director Sales EMEA
  • You will have four direct report containing of Area Sales Managers as well as Customer Support Officers
  • This role requires regular travel (30%) within the region to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and monitor team performance.
