RTR Accountant (Tax)
The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality and timely Record to Report services, with a focus on statutory and direct tax compliance, financial reporting, and process optimization.
This includes managing direct tax and statutory activities, aligning IFRS with local GAAP, maintaining financial quality and compliance, driving standardization and continuous improvement.
The role requires proactive identification of risks and opportunities, and continuous improvement.
What we ask
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics/Accountancy/Taxation
- 3+ years proven working experience in finance and accounting or RTR (with 2+ years working experience as Tax accountant, Statutory accountant or relevant field)
- Statutory and tax background, including preparation of financial statements Understanding of local GAAP background and bridging with IFRS
- Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting/Taxation is an advantage
- IFRS or chartered accountant certificate is an advantage
- Certification in project management methodologies is an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of finance processes and financial statements (tax compliance), accounting and direct taxes
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP is an advantage), Excel
- English language is a must and additional European language skill is an advantage

Top Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Ensure quality and timeliness of the operational tasks in the field of Record to Report, focusing on Statutory and Taxation:
- Assure IFRS, statutory, and fiscal compliance;
- Coordinate and perform tax and statutory scope with low complexity for GBS-relevant operating companies (OpCos), on time and in full.
- Support financial statement preparation to authorities and external auditors.
- Support on simplified financial statements and fiscal documentation.
- Preparation of statistical reports.
- Communicate and align with internal and external parties (e.g., GBS, CTD, auditors, tax authorities).
- Support the standardization of statutory and direct tax activities.
- Bridge IFRS with local GAAP and prepare relevant adjustments.
- Proactively raise risks, identify opportunities, resolve problems, and provide advice on optimizing existing practices.
- Perform taxation activities and financial analyses.
- Implement internal and external tax and statutory process changes.
- Perform month-end and year-end schedules.
- Ensure internal tax controls are applied.
- Deliver according to agreed service requirements.
- Prepare, analyze, advise on, and deliver complex periodical reports (quantitative and qualitative) in accordance with defined formats and procedures.
- Provide insights on quantitative and qualitative developments through periodic or ad hoc reports/analyses based on reporting guidelines.
- Perform activities in line with internal/external controls, regulations, compliance requirements.
2. Projects and process optimization:
- Continuously improve integrated RtR processes, controls, reports and applications
- Signal bottlenecks in complex integrated RtR processes, provide proposals for improvements in processes and procedures, and ensure implementation after approval and track progress.
