Raw Material Specification Specialist
Within FrieslandCampina Innovation the Raw material specification management team is responsible for high quality specifications of all raw materials used in the total portfolio of Specialised Nutrition (from newborns to moms). For this vulnerable group, attention to detail is key.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating raw material specifications for our Business-to-Consumer (Friso brand) and Business-to-Business (FrieslandCampina Ingredients) products. In addition, you will oversee the qualification and validation of raw materials, ensuring they meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

What we ask
- Experience on Food safety, HACCP, QCP, microbiology.
- Experience with SAP PLM is a requirement.
- Excellent knowledge of materials for food application.
- MSc degree in Food Technology or equivalent area.
- At least 1-2 relevant years’ experience with Specification management, product development or Quality Assurance (QA), preferably in infant nutrition area.
- Entrepreneurial and open attitude, analytical, quality focus, customer focused and work well both independently and within a team.

Vacancy description
As a Raw Material Specification Specialist, your key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and update raw material specifications for our Business-to-Consumer (Friso brand) and Business-to-Business (FrieslandCampina Ingredients) products.
- Set up and manage raw material specifications within the SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with global suppliers to align on raw material specifications, working closely with QA, RA, and procurement teams.
- Act as the raw material expert in New Product Development (NPD) and change projects, contributing technical expertise and ensuring project success.
- Establish and leverage a strong stakeholder network, engaging with internal teams (e.g., RA, QA, QC, procurement, SQM, Supply Chain) and external partners to drive alignment and achieve objectives.

As a Specification Specialist, you will be part of the IFT Development Team based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, a dynamic group of approximately 60 professionals.
This department reports directly to the Business Group Specialized Nutrition and maintains strong connections with the Corporate R&D department.
