Logistics & Planning Excellence Manager

Within the Global Supply Chain organization of FrieslandCampina we are looking for an energetic and team-driven Logistics & Planning Excellence Manager (OWOW).
With our Global Logistics & Customer Care Excellence Team, you will help our Customer Supply Chains attain a higher maturity level by co-driving the roll-out of a new way of working within the Our Way of Working Framework (OWOW). In the process, you will drive performance improvement by setting and driving ambitious standards, increase supply chain value and realize year-on-year savings. On top, you are contributing to improving the daily lives of our operational teams.

What we ask
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in warehousing, transportation, demand planning, supply planning or in the broader supply chain.
- Exposure to an operational Supply Chain role around the “shopfloor” (Logistics and/or Planning) is preferred.
- “Operational excellence” experience with knowledge and experience in working with one or more methodologies such as “Lean” or “Six Sigma” is preferred.
- Experience with OWOW in Rapid Deployment or Full Site Scaling would be very interesting.
- Understanding of target setting and follow-up processes; Performance Control Management
- Knowledge of trends and developments in the logistics and/or planning field.
- Influencing skills without hierarchical power; solid experience with working in complex global matrix organization and able to create and maintain relationships and achieve success via collaboration rather than hierarchy.
- Languages: English and preferably one other language.

Vacancy description
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for driving the extension of the OWOW framework, currently well-advanced in MAKE, towards the rest of the supply chain in Logistics and Planning. It is all about developing the right structures, KPIs and standards, to be able to RUN and IMPROVE our processes effectively, whilst looking at the End-2-End supply chain performance and the daily lives of our operational teams.
You will drive the identification and unlocking of key data to drive best in class Performance Management. You will develop and support Customer Supply Chain teams to enable them to execute improvement projects/workstreams and support and train participants in order to develop operational excellence capabilities in the organization.
You actively drive standardization, best practice sharing and capability building via the Logistics & Planning Communities of Practice.
An important part of your job will be in rolling out the global OWOW framework in all our Planning & Logistics functions. This will realize a standardized way of working, with fit for purpose performance meetings and will improve the daily lives of our “shopfloor” employees across the globe.
You see the challenge in achieving cooperation and motivation between Logistics & Planning teams and their (main) stakeholders. You will actively build networks within RFC within your own Planning, Logistics & Excellence discipline as well as across disciplines to further develop and deploy Our Way of Working within RFC.
You understand the complexity of the role is the limited level of tangibility of the output. In fact Output in terms of Performance and effective results are (and should be) realized in the businesses.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Lead improvement programs & workstreams to results
- Design and implement standard ways of working including performance management
- Promote Best Practices and foster cross-fertilization of ideas in expertise networks
- Lead tool development to fit-for-purpose but state-of-the-art new functionalities

A highly skilled and experienced team with program and project managers along the grass-to-glass supply chain, across FrieslandCampina worldwide. Specifically, you will work together intensively with the other two Planning & Logistics Excellence managers, who work on the implementation of Our Way of Working in Planning & Logistics.
