Demand Planner

Are you looking for a challenging Supply Chain role in the very heart of the organization, right in between commercial & factories? This could be your chance! We are looking for a demand planner within Consumer Dairy Germany.

As a demand planner you create, monitor, enrich, and improve the demand plan (0-18 months) in collaboration with commercial teams (e.g., sales and marketing), in alignment with finance and supply chain. Your primary responsibility is the baseline forecast and on top of that challenging sales concerning promo forecasting. You play a vital role in assuring the best service of our top dairy brands towards our customers, via doing a job with much variation (balancing the analytics with the stakeholder management).

What we ask

  • Completed studies with a focus on logistics / Supply Chain Management or comparable qualifications
  • Proven experience working of at least 2-3 years, preferably in an FMCG, Supply Chain, Logistics or Transportation Planning.
  • Pro-active attitude
  • Strong analytical skills
  • You are customer-focused and can act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results
  • You take responsibility for your work and are continuously looking for new opportunities to make a change
  • Good communicator; dealing with time pressure and able to frequently reset priorities due to a changed environment
  • Knowledge of SAP, MicroStrategy & MS Office, and experience with planning software and or dashboarding software is a plus
  • Fluent in English

Vacancy description

  • You create the demand plans based on baseline (statistical) forecast which is enriched by inputs from the commercial teams; for the operational (0-13 weeks) and tactical horizon (4-18 months).
  • You understand the impact of business dynamics and translate them into the demand plan: NPD, phase-in/out, promotions, events, seasonality, tenders, contracts, activations.
  • You manage your key KPI’s (service level, waste & forecast accuracy) with a PDCA mindset and methodology
  • You work on daily basis with a lot of stakeholders, especially with sales & supply planning
  • You are eager to help improving our organization and are willing to participate in (multi-disciplinary) projects to grow S&OP maturity

You will join the demand planning team of Germany (4 FTE & 1 Customer Supply Chain lead). This team is a part of the Customer Supply Chain organization.
