This role contributes to FrieslandCampina’s success by ensuring the high level of competence within the Demand area. Key activities of Demand Planning department include the creation, monitoring and improving the demand plan (0-18 months) in collaboration with commercial teams (e.g., sales and marketing) in alignment with finance and supply chain. By continuously challenging sales figures and by keeping realistic supply chain scenarios in mind the department aims to produce an accurate forecasts which is in balance with supply.
What we ask
Critical competencies and Skills:
Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Marketing
Minimum of 2 years of Demand Planning experience (or relevant other experience)
Knowledge of principles such as forecasting, S&OP, statistics, E2E Supply Chain processes within FMCG
Knowledge of MS Office (advanced)
Strong drive towards customer satisfaction and operational excellence
Analytical, Good Communication Skills,Influencing, Articulate
Knowledge of ERP-systems (preferred but not required SAP, APO DP/SNP, BW, MicroStrategy)

Creates the demand plans based on baseline (statistical) forecast which is enriched by inputs from the commercial teams; for the operational (0-13 weeks) and tactical horizon (4-18 months)
Understands how to use statistical forecasting to create a solid baseline forecast and maintains, reviews and cleans historical data and determines if this can be applied to the portfolio
Understand the impact of business dynamics and translate them into the demand plan: NPD, phase-in/out, promotions, events, seasonality, tenders, contracts, activations
Prepares the pre-demand review meeting & demand review meetings and provides input for the S&OP meetings
Analyzes and allocates forecast to 8 warehouse locations and communicates to Supply Planning and Logistics to execute dispatching
Monitoring planning (PDCA-cycle) & Analysis
Drive continuous improvement of the forecast accuracy and bias in alignment with the commercial teams.
Monitor, analyze, understand and challenge the quality of the enrichments provided by the commercial teams (assumptions, deltas, consumption, trends, issues, gaps, risks, opportunities)
Coordinate any activities related to the constraining and allocation process and ensure the match of demand & supply
Continuously look for opportunities & improvements within daily work context and take ownership in implementing solutions
Information & Communication
Analyse and determine the impact of OOS and communicate to commercial teams in accordance with the internal procedures
Provide KPI dashboards, insights and decision documents at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (PCS, D&S, S&OP, budget and 12Q) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses
