Research Analyst

For the FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre we are looking for a Technician Analytical Chemistry to strengthen the Expert team Food Physics and Chemistry (FP&C). FP&C enables the FrieslandCampina business to deliver innovations through research projects, as well as support to the development teams of all business groups. The team has deep understanding of the physics and chemistry of food components, how these interact, and how the resulting product properties can be analyzed.

What we ask

-HLO degree in Analytical Chemistry, Food Chemistry or related area;

-At least 2-3 years of work experience in a business research environment, like food or pharma;

-Experience with state-of-the-art analyses of carbohydrates and/or proteins (e.g. UPLC, Gallery Analyzer);

-Experience with interpretation of analytical data on complex food matrices;

-Experience with analytical method development;

-Experience with automation / digitalization is a plus;

-Good command of the English language, Dutch is an advantage;

-A team player with key competences: customer-focused, result-oriented, creative, pro-active, and pragmatic.

Vacancy description

As Technician Analytical Chemistry you will work in a team of technicians and researchers and report to the Cluster Leader Food Chemistry of FP&C. As a member of a multidisciplinary team you will:

  • Be responsible for planning, preparation, execution and reporting of analytical chemistry analysis, mostly for the FrieslandCampina Ingredient business;
  • Provide technical input for new analytical method development. With that you build strong knowledge on various analytical methods;
  • Work closely with colleagues mainly from R&D.
