Dairy’s Role in Athletic Success

Meet Jean Nyakayiru, a Research Specialist within the Expert Team Nutrition (part of the Family and Adult Nutrition cluster) in our R&D team. He is responsible for setting up and monitoring collaborations and research studies with external researchers, focusing on adult nutrition, particularly protein, muscle, and mobility. These studies help substantiate the health benefits of FrieslandCampina products. His collaborative nature is invaluable as he works with Development Specialists and Marketing to translate research insights into communication materials and new product concepts.

Born in Kenya to a Rwandan mother and a Ghanaian father who met while working in Nairobi, Jean moved to the Netherlands at the age of six and has lived here ever since. In 2019, he joined FrieslandCampina after completing his PhD in Sports Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at Maastricht University.
