Vasunthara (or just Vasu!) joined FrieslandCampina with a strong sense of purpose and a deep passion for people. With a unique background in electrical engineering and social work, she’s always been drawn to roles where she can create meaningful change. Now, as a Social Sustainability Specialist, she channels that energy into building a workplace where wellbeing, inclusion, and respect aren’t just values—they’re part of everyday culture.

As part of the Global Work & Health team, she’s focused on building a culture where wellbeing, inclusion, and human rights are part of everyday life.

We might not always be in the spotlight, but we’re working behind the scenes to create spaces where people feel safe, respected, and truly seen.

What makes Vasu stand out isn’t just her passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion —it’s how she lives it. Whether at work or at home raising her two young boys, she’s intentional about nurturing kindness, empathy, and respect.

Being a mom has made my purpose even stronger. I want to help raise good humans—and I get to do that at home and in my role here.

Though she’s just a month into her journey with FrieslandCampina, what struck her right away was the warm, welcoming culture. You don’t need to put on a mask here. People see you beyond your job title. You’re free to be your full self. She also values the flexibility and empowerment she’s experienced from day one.
