QC Analyst
The SPL Operations aims to sustain compliance on FoQuS SHE, FoQuS FS&Q and FSSC 22000 standards, and to improve the operational efficiencies. Successful candidate will be responsible for executing and conducting microbiological analyses to determine conformance of raw materials and products based on specification while complying with ISO 17025 accreditation and RFC Laboratory Quality Management System requirements. You will not be only performing safe operation, basic maintenance of laboratory equipment but also provide input into process improvement initiatives. As part of our highly focused team in a high-pressure environment, you will work closely with the QC Central Laboratory/Microbiology laboratory, Raw Materials and Packaging Acceptance team, Milk Powder, Condensed Milk and UHT production team to support daily laboratory operations. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with minimum 2-year laboratory and quality experience. Previous liquid or powder milk testing lab experience will be an advantage.
What we ask
To be successful in this position, you must:
- be a Graduate of BS Biology, Microbiology, Food Technology and related field with at least 2 years of experience and/or equivalent exposure in the field of Quality testing / inspection; Registered Microbiologist, a plus
- Be knowledgeable in Quality System – ISO 9001, FSSC, ISO 22000 and ISO 17025, with in-depth understanding on the laboratory quality system, Good Laboratory Practices and standards
- Works efficiently with a team with understanding of the KPI system and has a sense of accountability
- be flexible, meeting/exceeding deadlines and work under pressure
- have a strong multitasking, time management, oral and written communication skills
- have a problem-solving mindset and ability to deliver results in a time-constraint environment.
- have experience with Food Hygiene, GMP, 5S, Continuous Improvement, SAP, Quality Management System, in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical environment, a plus.

Vacancy description
- Performs microbiological and sensory testing of incoming materials, ingredients, and finished products according to Laboratory Instructions and methods.
- Provides analytical services to other department as needed, i.e. R&D trials, complaint investigations, troubleshooting of non-conformances, validation, and project/program initiated samples.
- Familiar and can perform based on Good Laboratory practices and Lab Quality Management system elements to ensure accuracy of results. i.e. set reproducibility and repeatability for each analysis method, participates and pass proficiency tests, use of control charts, qualification and verification of lab equipment, etc.
- Promptly SAP encodes lab results within agreed target lead time.
- Prepares relevant lab reports, fill out forms, checklists and database to record safety and quality data.
- Consistently practice legible records, required significant figures and sign off as best practices.
- Works with minimal supervision depending on risk of the tasks assigned and applies basic laboratory experience to complete assigned tasks.
- Contributes to the completion of organizational projects or goals.
- Assumes other duties wherein he has received sufficient training/knowledge within his section and as instructed by his immediate superior and/or set by company policies.
- Reports to work based on shift rotation schedule to support work week laboratory schedule.
