Project Manager Global Sales & Operations Planning
FrieslandCampina is elevating its Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process to new heights to enhance end-to-end performance through integrated demand, supply, and financial planning, including scenario planning support. Our goal is to improve business outcomes by accelerating decision-making processes to optimize milk valorization. To achieve this, we have developed a new S&OP process – S&OP 2.0 – featuring an updated meeting structure, calendar, roles and responsibilities, KPIs, governance, and data structures, including a rollout across Business Groups and OpCos. Our S&OP journey aims at the execution of all S&OP processes at Gartner S&OP maturity level 4.
What we ask
- In-depth understanding of the customer supply chain within Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. Comprehensive knowledge of the RFC Supply Chain is an advantage, like experience in commercial processes.
- In-depth knowledge of the business planning processes Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), covering Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance topics, as well as Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and knowledge and experience in one or more of the following key planning areas: Commercial planning / Demand planning, Supply and Capacity planning, Financial planning, S&OP/financial data management.
- Experience in implementing S&OP process blueprints and translating theory into practice.
- Expertise in defining business processes, including organizational alignment, change management, defining roles and responsibilities, technology, and reporting.
- Ability to influence key senior stakeholders at Business Group level to adopt the setup of S&OP.
- Strong communication, presentation, and training skills (English required, Dutch optional), to advocate validation of the new way of working in the broader S&OP community and with an affinity for organizing events such as workshops, assessments, and issue resolution sessions.
- Focus on making progress based on joint interests and similarities in different planning processes, rather than highlighting differences and obstacles.
- Proactive, action-oriented, and self-starting, with a high sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Commitment to joining the project for a multi-year period and rolling out S&OP across RFC globally, incl. willingness and ability to travel to global FrieslandCampina locations.

Vacancy description
Our Global S&OP Development team is leading this ambitious program, and we are seeking a highly motivated team member to join the team. A key focus of this role will be the design and implementation of the S&OP process from a process perspective. So a combination of creative and practical insights are required as well as an enthusiastic attitude.
As a member of the Global S&OP Development team, you will:
- Be co-responsible for the design, implementation, and rollout of the S&OP 2.0 blueprint, acting as a true S&OP ambassador and owner of the S&OP 2.0 blueprint.
- Develop the S&OP blueprint towards the next level, implementing new best practices and business insights, and improving standards.
- Implement the S&OP process blueprint, localize the process to fit our business needs, and investigate with commerce, supply, and finance what is needed to enable improved volume and financial-driven decisions. You will ensure the availability of the right data and facilitate the transition of people and processes to the new situation.
- Participate in the periodic S&OP maturity assessment cycle, assess OpCos in their S&OP process maturity, and provide local S&OP support by conducting workshops, training sessions, and leading issue resolutions to optimize the local process.
