FrieslandCampina is looking for a Customer Operations Specialist based in Barcelona.

As a Customer Operations Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and accurate customer service execution within a highly automated and complex supply chain environment. You support order processing, customer communication, and issue resolution while gaining hands‑on experience across multiple digital platforms and supply chains. What we ask

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree (preferably in Customer Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics)
  • Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in FMCG
  • Fluency in Italian and good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Understanding of FMCG supply chain processes
  • Expertise in customer service activities such as order processing, transport coordination, invoicing, debit/credit handling, and complaint/return handling
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, customer integration platforms, and digital tools supporting the end‑to‑end Order‑to‑Cash process
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP S/4HANA is a strong plus
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a strong plus

Vacancy description

As a Customer Operations Specialist, you support the Customer Operations team in delivering reliable, high‑quality service for the customers within the Opco South West Europe within the Retail & Americas organization. Working in a functional team setup, you contribute to the daily execution of the Order‑to‑Cash process, ensuring accurate order entry, validation, and flow monitoring across digital channels such as EDI, web portals, and robotic processes.
You actively monitor delivery and system outputs, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues that impact customer satisfaction.

Key contributions of this role include:

  • Driving incremental improvements by identifying process gaps and supporting (IT-related) optimization initiatives across customer operations
  • Ensuring accurate and timely order entry and validation across multiple digital channels (EDI, web portal, robotic flows)
  • Monitoring order and delivery flows, identifying discrepancies, and supporting resolution in collaboration with internal teams
  • Communicating proactively with customers and logistics partners to provide updates and manage expectations
  • Supporting system testing and process documentation during IT changes or upgrades
  • Building foundational knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and systems

In this role you can join our Customer Operations Team in the Cluster in Barcelona. You work closely with colleagues across different Customer Operations teams, Customer Supply Chain, IT, Logistics, and external customer platforms.
