Tax Accountant

What we ask

Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics/Accountancy (Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting is an advantage)
2+ years proven working experience in taxation
Indirect tax knowledge intrastat
Balance sheet reconciliation experience
Tax advisor certificate is an advantage
Hands-on working knowledge to improve/transform integrated RtR processes
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations is desireable
Fluent English knowledge (Any additional European language skill is an advantage)
Excel, SAP, ERP knowledge
Advanced written and verbal communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
Good prioritization skills and high attention to details
Analytical, results oriented, accountable, service minded, flexible
Basic project management skills and basic knowledge of LEAN/Continuous Improvement and CI mindset are an advantage 
Ability to make decisions on own level

Vacancy description

Preparation and submission of VAT and listing declarations
Preparation and submission of Intrastat calculations
Preparation and submission of other indirect taxes (packaging tax, excise duties, etc.)
Perform manual journal entries and clearings related to indirect taxes
Analyze and reconcile VAT related items
Link with business partners and other GBDS teams, and follow up on open items
Identify issues around indirect taxes and support on accuracy of relevant calculations
Participation in month end closing and reporting
Preparation of financial data necessary for management reporting
Participation in internal & external audits, support tax audits
Perform ICF controls and activities in line with internal and external controls, regulations, compliance
Keeping active contact with various departments
Work closely with the team and participate on projects and initiatives 
Support indirect tax initiatives and actions in line with organizational changes
