Supply Planning Lead
Strategy
- Define and own the supply planning strategy by setting the long‑term vision, governance, and planning principles that align supply capabilities with business growth, customer service objectives, and financial targets.
- Translate business and S&OP strategy into actionable supply planning frameworks by establishing network design, capacity planning approaches, sourcing strategies, and scenario planning to manage risk, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Continuously evolve supply planning capabilities and maturity by driving digitalization, advanced analytics, and process standardization, while leading strategic initiatives to improve agility, scalability, and end‑to‑end supply chain performance.
S&OP Process
- Lead the Supply Planning cycle within the S&OP process by developing feasible, capacity‑constrained supply plans that balance demand requirements, inventory targets, and operational constraints across manufacturing and distribution networks.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Commercial, Procurement, and Logistics to assess supply risks, address gaps, and align on scenarios, trade‑offs, and mitigation actions prior to S&OP Executive Review.
- Provide supply performance insights and recommendations to S&OP governance forums by analyzing capacity utilization, inventory projections, service levels, and key KPIs, ensuring decisions support business objectives and long‑term supply strategy.
Production & Material Planning
- Develop and manage production plans by translating demand and supply plans into optimized, capacity‑feasible production schedules, ensuring alignment with service level targets, cost efficiency, and manufacturing constraints.
- Oversee material planning and availability by coordinating with Procurement and suppliers to ensure timely supply of raw and packaging materials, minimizing production disruptions while optimizing material inventory levels.
- Monitor production and material performance by tracking key KPIs such as schedule adherence, material shortages, and production efficiency, proactively resolving issues and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Import and Export Management
- Supervise and oversee import and export planning activities by aligning shipment schedules with supply plans, production timelines, and inventory requirements to ensure on‑time delivery and continuity of supply.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation requirements by overseeing customs processes, licenses, Incoterms, duties, and trade compliance in collaboration with Logistics, Finance, and external service providers.
- Optimize international logistics by monitoring freight modes, lead times, and shipment execution KPIs, proactively identifying risks (e.g., delays, capacity constraints) and driving corrective and improvement actions.
Inventory Management
- Own and optimize inventory strategy and targets by defining safety stock, reorder policies, and inventory segmentation to balance customer service levels, working capital, and obsolescence risk across the supply network.
- Monitor and control inventory performance through regular analysis of inventory health KPIs (e.g., days of inventory, excess & obsolete, stock availability), proactively identifying risks and driving corrective actions with cross‑functional teams.
- Align inventory planning with business and S&OP objectives by translating demand and supply plans into optimal inventory projections, supporting scenario planning, and recommending actions to mitigate supply variability and demand volatility.
Team Management
- Lead and develop the Supply Planning organization by setting clear objectives, defining roles and responsibilities, coaching team members, conducting performance reviews, and building succession and capability development plans.
- Drive operational excellence and accountability across the team by establishing standard planning processes, governance, and KPIs, ensuring consistent execution, data accuracy, and continuous improvement aligned with business goals.
- Provide leadership, direction, and cross‑functional influence by representing Supply Planning in senior management forums, aligning team priorities with company strategy, and fostering strong collaboration with commercial, operations, finance, and logistics teams.
What we ask
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration
- Minimum 10 years of experience preferably in planning, supply chain,
- Experience in leading the S&OP process, Demand and Supply planning, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Import & Export
- Program and project management (in cross-organizational context)
- Knowledge of basic Financial Management, P&L, Costs and Budgets
