Manager Commercialisation

Within the Supply Chain Portfolio team of Retail, Americas & Europe, we are looking for a Manager Commercialisation Cheese (also names Manager Supply Chain Portfolio), responsible for a team (approx. 18 FTE) of Commercialisation Specialists Cheese and Material Master Data & Label Specialists Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder. The main objective of Commercialisation is to translate the strategy of our Business Groups into our Supply Chain, facilitating the markets to introduce new product innovations, portfolio updates, value engineering projects, as fast as possible and with the highest success rate possible (both in time and quality).
 

To manage the ambitious cheese project portfolio of ~100 innovation projects, incl.  60 Mil. saving in the next 3 years, we are looking for a strong and proactive Manager Commercialisation. Together with the team, the lead has the responsibility to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions to all (16) local markets making use of the cheese factory network. The Commercialisation Specialists are the linking pin between disciplines like R&D, QA, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships & Procurement and Supply Chain to manage product innovations and ensure we maintain a healthy product portfolio. They act as project member for Commercial driven projects and as project manager for SC driven projects. The Material Master Data team and Label team are strong complementary teams within the Commercialisation discipline to translate business requests and collected data to SAP via DSP and (printed) label & pack instructions via WebcenterGOLD solution. All key to ensure we coordinate ideas to first successful commercial launch within our Supply Chain.

Manager Commercialisation

What we ask

  • Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Marketing;
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience in a Demand / Supply Planning / Manufacturing environment within FMCG;
  • Experience as line manager;
  • Understanding of our SAP ERP landscape (preferred);
  • Excellent Project- and portfolio Management skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder & change management skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong communication and influencing skills. Fluent English & Dutch is a must;
  • Strategical thinking;
  • Commercial affinity and mindset;
  • Financial affinity and mindset (assessment of Investment Requests and Business Cases);
  • Ability to negotiate in case of conflict of interest;
  • Drive continuous improvement culture & mindset;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, multinational matrix organization;
  • You are able to work under pressure, in a dynamic environment with different type of stakeholders.

Vacancy description

  • People Management: Manager of a team of ~18 FTE specialists (Hay and CAO level), 14 direct reports, 3 indirect reports and 1 interim hire;
  • Commercial Business Partner: The Manager Commercialisation Lead is the central spider in the complex supply chain web of Cheese. He/she will operate in a complex factory network with 10 of our own factories and a large number of external manufacturers. Your contribution will be critical in bringing our (new) products to the market successfully;
  • Customer focussed Supply Chain Solutions: It’s very important to understand the commercial needs and translate those in the most efficient way possible in our supply chain to ensure we have a healthy product portfolio in place;
  • Product Portfolio Review: Drives the continuous improvement cycle of the SKU portfolio of Cheese and maintaining a relevant cheese menucard;
  • Project Portfolio Management: Key responsibilities are the collecting and formulating IPM gate approvals on behalf of the Supply Chain (‘do projects the right way’) and update the management team by monthly reporting on our cheese innovation funnel (‘do we do the right things’), using S&OP as platform and joining the Consolidated Supply Review meeting and Activity Review meeting. All that is needed to optimize and control our funnel of projects to enable a fast and qualitative roll out OTIF in the market and manage our available resources;
  • Risk & Stakeholder Management: Manages stakeholders across disciplines (main focus Sales, Marketing, Planning, Production, QA & RA, R&D, Finance, Partnerships & Procurement), and has a strong link to the Business Group Management Team (incl. PPM) and SC Management Team. He/she facilitates decision making when how to manage the innovation pipeline;
  • IT Roadmap: Budget owner and drives the continuous improvement of our Article Request system landscape (WebcenterGold LEAN & LABEL).

The Supply Chain Portfolio Cheese Team is part of the FrieslandCampina Business Group Customer Supply Chain for Retail, Americas & Europe and is based in Amersfoort. You will be part of a diverse, ambitious team and will report to the Manager Supply Chain Portfolio (aka Commercialisation). You will frequently be in contact with our cheese locations and will visit them regularly.
