Strategy and Business Analyst Supply Chain

Within Global Supply Chain - Strategy & Network Development we are looking for a curious, results-driven, and pro-active Strategy and Business Analyst/Project Manager for our Strategic Supply Chain Development projects. As Strategy and Business Analyst you work on strategic business problems from a supply chain angle and support / lead SC strategy processes. You develop and provide relevant insights that enable decision makers to make the best decision forward. You work on various types of complex and multi-disciplinary projects / scenario deep-dives to identify the best SC strategy forward. Topics range from strategic SC solutions / scenarios to enable business growth, make-or-buy or footprint analysis, partnership/acquisition options, or achieving sustainability goals. Additionally, you lead or support in strategy related processes related to SC Segmentation, make-or-buy, or strategic plan updates. You address business problems with a long-term view, but when necessary, assist in the short-term.

What we ask

  • Your intellectual and professional level is at least equivalent to a Dutch Master’s Degree.
  • You have 2-5 years of work experience – with relevant experience in analytics, building solid business cases, managing projects. Experience with strategic projects is a pre.
  • You like to crunch complex problems, approach them from different (out-of-the-box) angles, and are creative in finding ways understand / analyse them in the most relevant way
  • You have the capability to manage processes / realize projects within time and budget, without making concessions to quality and safety. Specific project management skills (related to RFC way-of-work) are a clear advantage
  • You are analytical, perseverant, result orientated and a team-player
  • You can adopt a helicopter view but also zoom-in on data and identify relevant details to be understood.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to make complex matters simple without simplifying and to present it clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • You have ample experience and skills in use of data analytics tools

Vacancy description

As a business strategy analyst/project manager you are responsible for delivering sound analysis and recommendations that will guide strategic decision making in the supply chain. Additionally, you are responsible for supporting / leading strategic processes/projects (with multi-disciplinary teams) that result in strategic decision making related to various topics, such as SC segmentation, make-or-buy or strategic plan updates.

You work closely with various teams and stakeholders to understand the company’s strategy and how each initiative contributes to it. As well, you will work with senior management to identify opportunities, develop strategies and tactics that will help their organization achieve its goals. You also help frame strategic questions, develop models and analysis, and identify alternative opportunities to realize the business goals. Your analysis will have a strategic nature and can range from understanding markets, competition, technology, innovation, future scenarios relevant to making strategic SC choices, recommendations and plans. You are accustomed to working with multidisciplinary team, and able to be provide objective and facts/data-driven views. Your excellent communicational and analytical skills build trust with key stakeholders and your drive motivates the team to deliver best quality possible. You challenge, are transparent, curious and open minded. You have a performance mindset. You coordinate the activities required to deliver on the strategic processes and take responsibility to delivering the required end-results at the right time, quality, budget and scope. Working under time pressure brings out the best in you, you are open to feedback, eager to learn, and with your coaching skills you inspire other direct colleagues and help them to develop themselves.
