Vacancy description

  1. Logistics Strategy & Management

Result area(s):

  • Lead the logistics function for CSC MENA by strategizing together with global logistics procurement team, factory leads, customer order desk for smooth & efficient flow of dairy products.

Activities:

  • To optimize transportation routes, select logistics providers, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery at optimum costs.
  • To build business case scenarios & recommend optimal solutions to E2E value chain by thorough market research, assessing cost effective transportation routes, analyze regulatory complexities by market/country in implementing new trade lanes or offer alternate options to existing lanes.
  • To analyze & monitor distribution & selling costs (D&S) against target, take actions as necessary to contain the costs below target.
  • Manage Day to day logistics and shipments operations E2E from Factory to Distributor including Documentations, customs clearance and Customs regulations (with MENA Regulatory team)

 

  1. Cost Optimization
  • To check for alternative transport modes to support the global supply and demand changes required to secure speed to market and to reduce the risk of delays.
  • To lead & manage force majeure situations such as red sea crisis through effective collaboration with cross functional teams, evaluating best alternative solutions that fits well within the CSC framework & regulations, proactively  communicate to all stakeholders thus minimize/mitigate potential risks & losses.
  • Observe and evaluate bottlenecks and identify opportunities and improvement actions in supply chain related (work) processes, planning systematics, procedures and/or systems, and ensure implementation of improvements after approval.

 

  1. Logistics Excellence
  • Establish & ensure SOPs for logistics function in compliance within FC CSC framework.
  • Identify & implement system & tools to drive cost & SC efficiencies.
  • Ensures the relevant plan parameters and required master data are up to date, well configured and reviewed on a regular basis representing the requirements of the market

 

  1. Carrier & Freight management

Result Area(s):

  • To represent & participate  as a member of CSC MENA team in the core team of Logistics procurement alongside CSC reps from other FC BG/Opco’s to strategize & implement optimum freight tender solution.

Activities:

  • To execute and support the strategic logistics process phases including Tenders, freight forwarders/ carriers/ and other logistics partners negotiations, preparation of business case recommendations.
  • To monitor & follow-through with respective Opco stakeholders to share volume allocation for each trade lane.
  • To provide guidance & support in filing the volumes and submit as per stipulated timelines.
  • To share market specific insights on ocean freight, evaluation of carriers, benchmarking vs past carrier performance & recommend alternate solutions.

 

  1. Carrier Performance Management

Result Area(s):

  • Monitor & evaluate performance of contracted carriers, proactively engage and minimize disruptions to better achieve business objectives.

Activities:

  • Collaborate & strengthen relationships with regional carrier offices to address transit delays, reliability & performance.
  • Engage & source for solutions from carrier offerings within the region for faster connectivity.

  1. Warehousing & Logistics (Distribution)
  • Manages warehouses (RFC and 3rd party) in his remit, ensuring safe and healthy environment, enabling On Time In Full delivery to Customers
  • Ensures timely delivery to Customers orchestrating agreed Cluster logistic set-up: manages transport planning, trucking & shipping companies, invoices & credit notes, export, documentation, etc.
  • Drives continuous improvement with LSP’s to improve service, Route to Market and Cost to Serve

 

  1. Insurance & Risk Management
  • Ensure that logistics, transportation & warehousing across MENA region are covered by quality, cost effective and compliant insurance policies
  • Consult with corporate treasury team & highlight any financial risks associated with freight, transportation or storage of RFC products
  • Act as an advisor & guide distributors in handling insurance claims against quality or damage losses incurred during transportation.
  • Monitor insurance claims from distributors and ensure the losses are duly re-imbursed by insurance.

 

  1. Project & transformation Management
  • Lead and drive tactical and strategic projects both in own domain, cross OpCo and cross functional with high complexity.

 

  1. Human Resources Management & Team development
  • Builds and lead an effective and impactful MENA logistics team: recruits, coaches, develops, appraises, rewards, counsels and terminates in compliance with RFC HR Policies and Standards
  • Provides his colleagues and peers with fact based feedback
  • Leads and impersonates Customers Focus

 

  1. Performance Management

Result Area(s):

  • To periodically build management reports, resulting in-depth insight for Tier 4 to drive process & cost optimization & better performance.

Activities :

  • Determines targets and ensure realization of performance with regard to cost, quality and performance for Logistics
  • Build & analyze management information needs.
  • Implement KPIs (Logistics process parameters), Continuous Improvement programs & Management Information
  • Propose strategy to improve KPI’s & execute aligned implementation plan
