The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations including inventory management and distribution operations. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and accurate delivery of goods while maintaining high service and safety standards. The incumbent leads warehouse staff, monitors performance, resolves operational issues, and drives continuous improvement across supply chain processes.

Qualification
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration (BBA/MBA) or Supply Chain.
Experience
- 6–7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, and distribution, preferably within a reputed FMCG organization.
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
Skills & Competencies
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve operational targets and high engagement.
- Operational Planning: Strong capability in warehouse planning, dispatch coordination, load optimization, and shift scheduling.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly resolve operational challenges such as delays, stock variances, safety risks, or equipment breakdowns.
- Communication: Effective coordination with internal departments, transporters, vendors, and customers.
- ERP & Systems Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory tracking, reporting, and controls.
- Safety & Compliance: Strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and regulatory compliance.

- Lead and manage daily warehouse and logistics operations, including inbound, storage, picking, and dispatch activities.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse staff to ensure productivity, safety, and performance targets are achieved.
- Plan and monitor dispatch schedules to meet customer service requirements and delivery timelines.
- Manage inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor logistics and warehouse KPIs, analyze trends, and implement corrective and improvement actions.
- Coordinate closely with procurement, production, sales, and transport teams to ensure smooth supply chain flow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Handle operational issues such as delivery delays, stock discrepancies, damages, or equipment failures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost optimization.
- Support manpower planning, shift scheduling, resource allocation, and workload balancing.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry in ERP/WMS systems and reporting.
- Handle customer complaints related to warehouse or delivery issues and initiate corrective actions.
- Prepare and review operational documents including delivery notes, invoices, gate passes, and shipment logs.
- Manage vendor performance for outsourced warehouse and handling services.
- Conduct safety briefings, training sessions, and regular toolbox talks for the warehouse team.
