(Senior) Raw Material Specification Specialist (all genders)
Within FrieslandCampina Innovation the Raw material specification management team is responsible for high quality specifications of all raw materials used in the total portfolio of Specialised Nutrition (from newborns to moms). For this vulnerable group, attention to detail is key.
You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating raw material specifications for our Business-to-Consumer (Friso brand) and Business-to-Business (FrieslandCampina Ingredients) products. In addition, you will oversee the qualification and validation of raw materials, ensuring they meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Your familiarity with the functionality of our products and the methodologies for setting up specifications will be key to your success in this role.
Ce que nous demandons
- Experience on Food safety, HACCP, QCP, microbiology;
- Experience with SAP PLM is a requirement;
- Excellent knowledge of materials for food application;
- MSc degree in Food Technology or equivalent area;
- At least + 7 years’ experience with Specification management, product development or Quality Assurance (QA), preferably in infant nutrition area;
- Entrepreneurial and open attitude, analytical, quality focus, customer focused and work well both independently and within a team.

Employment benefits:
- Salary between €4,550 and €6,000 gross per month (full-time), depending on experience and fit for the role.
- A work week of 32 to 38 hours, a 5% year-end allowance, 10% company bonus, 8% holiday allowance and a pension scheme.
- Hybrid working with flexible working hours, a train card and/or €0.23 per km (max. 30 km one way).

As a Raw Material Specification Specialist, your key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and update raw material specifications for our Business-to-Consumer (Friso brand) and Business-to-Business (FrieslandCampina Ingredients) products;
- Set up and manage raw material specifications within the SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system to ensure accuracy and compliance;
- Functionally leads or contributes to complex and business-critical projects (e.g. major supplier changes, system integrations, audit readiness). Balances multiple stakeholders and risks;
- Initiates, develops, and maintains tactical global supplier relationships internally and externally. Seen as the go-to contact for complex specification topics or supplier/authority interactions;
- Act as subject matter expert (SME), advising on new methodologies and strategic improvements ensuring project success;
- Establish and leverage a strong stakeholder network, engaging with internal teams (e.g., RA, QA, QC, procurement, SQM, Supply Chain) and external partners to drive alignment and achieve objectives.

As a Specification Specialist, you will be part of the IFT Development Team based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, a dynamic group of approximately 60 professionals.
This department reports directly to the Business Group Specialized Nutrition and maintains strong connections with the Corporate R&D department.
In addition to collaborating with your immediate team, you will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines across FrieslandCampina worldwide, including Procurement, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
