Plant Manager

Our Wolvega site is in need of a people and results oriented Plant Manager. Do you want to work on the business challenges such as continuous improvement and building capabilities for the future? 

In Wolvega we cut, grate and pack 60.000 kt cheese per year. You find our products in your local supermarket and in supermarkets across the world. We do this with a team of approximately 350 employees with more than 20 different nationalities. To ensure quality we do not only invest in new sustainable technology, but mostly we invest in our people. 
 

Plant Manager

What we ask

  • Academic grade (Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Food Science)
  • 12 or more years of experience in manufacturing environment in Food, Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Able to lead & drive safety, quality and performance behavior 
  • Able to determine and steer business implications of change management
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Positive inspiring connecting energetic personality with can-do mentality, proactivity and people manager skills
  • Natural leadership skills
  • Good communication skills on all levels
  • Next to a fit with these requirements, previous plant manager experience and growth potential within RFC is preferred

Vacancy description

  • Implement the Performance+ program of the Plant and Our Way of Working (OWOW), including budgets and setting the right priorities
  • End responsible for all site process such that the required safety, quality, productivity & projects are delivered in both short and long term 
  • End responsible for the Plant Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Leading the Plant Management Team of Wolvega (LT) on a day to day base by role modelling, coaching your employees and supporting them in their training and development needs, guiding values and standards, and thus creating an effective, high-performance and result-orientated team
  • Reports directly to the Supply Chain Director, Retail & Americas
