No one size fits all approach


During the one year LEAP journey, our young leaders are not developed into a predetermined direction; we don’t want to drive a "one-size fits all" approach to leadership. On the contrary!

The journey is all about finding your personal purpose and nature and about translating this into your personal leadership style.

We value inspiring leaders, who challenge the status quo and drive change, while staying true to their personal nature.

Connect your personal purpose

Understanding your personal purpose gives you direction in life and in leadership. It enables you to connect your personal purpose with the company purpose. "Who am I, what is my personal purpose and how can I contribute to the success story of FrieslandCampina?" are central questions during the journey. When you know who you are as a person, you can decide who you will be as a leader.


The journey


During the journey, young leaders from all over the world are enabled and equipped to drive their own development; to grow in the direction they aspire. The journey starts with identifying your personal strengths and development areas. Based on this, participants create their personal development objectives for the year. They work with coaches, a mentor, a (peer) dialogue partner and follow different trainings and inspiration sessions. Topics include, amongst others, vitality and balancing your energy, personal purpose, personal branding, and developing a growth mindset.

During the journey young leaders develop from individual contributor to an inspiring and enabling leader. 

LEAP means to jump or spring a long way, to a great height or with great force.
