The Technology Department at FrieslandCampina's Veghel site is preparing for the future by continuously improving its processes. One of our key focus areas is process optimization and increasing production capacity. As demand for FrieslandCampina ingredients grows, our production must meet new performance standards.

Description du poste vacant

At the Veghel site, we produce Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC), a high-protein ingredient derived from caseinate whey—a by-product of caseinate production. The production process involves multiple filtration steps, starting with Reverse Osmosis (RO) to concentrate the whey, followed by Ultrafiltration (UF) to increase protein content while removing lactose and minerals.

To optimize the WPC production line, we aim to increase the dry matter content achieved during RO. This internship will focus on investigating how higher dry matter levels affect the UF process. You will analyze the impact on UF performance and explore how process parameters can be adjusted to maintain product specifications.

Technology team Veghel is a team of 25 technologists who have a working experience between 0 and 30 years. We like our job and to discuss the challenges it faces during lunch but we also like to go out for a lunch walk and discuss subjects not related to work. We have a big open office in which it is easy to ask for help when needed. The culture is very open and it is easy to walk to the operations manager of logistic manager when needed without an appointment. 
Our office is in the middle of plant Veghel between al the production plants. This makes it easy to walk to production for a simple question or check. The operators like to think with you for a solution of your problem.
