Manager Retained Global People Services & Solutions Region

Leads and directs a team of HR subject matter experts, ensuring the delivery of services and solutions within the region. Acts as a liaison between the PS&S hub and the local teams. Contributes to the strategic planning for the Retained PS&S department, ensuring alignment with the three-year plan. Serves as a change agent during transitions or organizational changes, ensuring operational HR processes are aligned across countries within the region where possible. Communicates company and department objectives, safety practices, and performance goals. Motivates and coaches team members, assesses performance, and implements improvements with a continuous improvement mindset. Responsible for creating and maintaining a tactical departmental year plan that aligns with the overall PS&S/HR Operations strategy. Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders across different countries.

What we ask

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in a similar role or environment, preferably in Global Shared Services
  • Candidates with experience with pensions or payroll are preferred
  • Knowledge of general labor laws across multiple countries is beneficial
  • Familiarity with management processes and Lean Management principles
  • Experience in project management
  • Proficient with HR IT systems and infrastructure
  • Skilled in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of HR operational processes
  • Experience in Change Management

Vacancy description

Strategy, Year Plan & Budget

  • Contribute to the overall global People Services & Solutions (PS&S) strategy.
  • Act as the liaison between regional countries and global PS&S Leadership.
  • Translate the PS&S strategy into retained services for the various countries within the region and lead the execution. Periodically evaluate and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide input to the PS&S budget and manage the budget for retained PS&S organizations across the region.
  • Manage the budget and FTEs in alignment with operational and tactical needs.

People Management & Development

  • Lead, recruit, coach, and evaluate employees within the retained organizations, covering disciplines such as Payroll, Pensions, Health, and People Services.
  • Oversee the Performance & Talent Management cycle by providing continuous feedback, conducting performance reviews, and co-creating personal development plans for each team member.

Services & Solutions Delivery

  • Oversee the delivery of HR services for regional organizations and manage country-specific HR operations that cannot be standardized due to unique local requirements.
  • Ensure local activities are effectively managed, aligned with the PS&S strategy, and compliant with regional regulations, bridging the gap between centralized services and local needs.
  • Manage the delivery of monthly payroll across different countries, pensions processes where applicable, and specialized services such as health, benefits, and people services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for country business units in cases of questions or escalations related to process management.
  • Establish and manage SLAs and KPIs, ensuring work is executed according to these standards.
  • Ensure that promises regarding the delivery of new or adapted products, services, and processes are met according to schedule and service level agreements.
  • Adjust and manage stakeholder expectations to deliver solutions and resolve issues promptly.
  • Enhance the employee experience by focusing on efficient processes and user-friendliness.
  • Act as a partner to HR Operations, Centers of Excellence (CoEs), capability pools, and other relevant disciplines such as IT, Finance, Legal, and Compensation & Benefits (C&B) within the region.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and HR plans.
  • Provide management information, including KPIs and SLAs, for decision-making purposes.
  • Advise business units on the operational implementation of HR processes, such as Collective Labor Agreements (CLAs).

Process Optimization & Projects

  • Identify and drive continuous improvement to optimize value delivery to customers across all countries, balancing business and technical feasibility within and beyond the transition timeframe.
  • Propose, optimize, and implement KPIs and improvement initiatives based on identified needs.
  • Detect trends, anomalies, or frequently asked questions and address them accordingly.
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Allocate resources to assigned HR service delivery projects within the project management guidelines.
  • Participate in global PS&S and HR Operations projects, identifying opportunities for shared ways of working to further optimize HR operations.

Knowledge Development

  • Monitor internal and external developments, sharing relevant information with the team.
  • Keep HR knowledge articles, including information on laws, CLAs, and regulations, up-to-date in Finder with the help of team experts.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to translate business process issues into prioritized delivery requirements.
  • Align structurally with business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address areas for improvement based on customer feedback and external perspectives.
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of team progress and forecasts.
  • Provide guidance and remove roadblocks to ensure successful execution of work.
  • Build connections between the PS&S hubs in Budapest, Kuala Lumpur, and Karachi and the local communities.

Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with employment agencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tax and legal authorities.
  • Maintain contact with external suppliers at the tactical level.
  • Oversee contract management.
