Specification Specialist
Are you able to work accurately, digitally savvy, do you like to bring clarity and structure to complex processes, able to discuss with various experts in their field, and documenting things well?
Then you might just be the right addition to the Specification management team of FrieslandCampina Ingredients (FCI).
Initially, your responsibility will be to create and maintain the portfolio of Raw Material and Supplier specifications used within FCI. You will ensure that the portfolio is complete, correct, and up-to-date. In order to do so, you will have to liaise with various experts from FrieslandCampina, colleagues from different departments such as QA, RA, Supply Chain, and R&D. Together you will make sure that our specifications meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

- MSc or Bachelors degree in food science and technology, nutrition or comparable technical field and at least 5 years of experience in an R&D, QA or technology role, preferably in dairy/food.
- Pro-active, pragmatic, result oriented, team player across disciplines, decisive.
- Affinity with product lifecycle management software (experience with SAP PLM is a big plus).
- Dutch not a must but will make contact within supply chain easier.
- Entrepreneurial and open attitude, analytical, quality focus, customer focused and can work well both independently and within a team.

As a Specification Specialist, your key tasks and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and .update raw material specifications and supplier specs for the Business Group FrieslandCampina Ingredients using Specification management software SAP PLM.
- Aligning with internal colleagues to ensure high quality specifications and provide the business with reliable data.
- Collaborate with suppliers to align on raw material specifications, working closely with QA, RA, and procurement teams.
- Participate in a team of specification specialists to help the specification management team attain their objectives.
At a later phase these responsibilities will be extended towards semi-finished and finished products as well.

As a Specification Specialist, you will be part of the FrieslandCampina Ingredients development team based in Wageningen, The Netherlands, a dynamic group of approximately 70 professionals. Your immediate team consists of 5 dedicated professionals working on Specification management.
In addition to collaborating with your immediate team, you will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines across FrieslandCampina worldwide, including Procurement, Supplier Quality Management (SQM), Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs.
