"Retail is really in my blood."

For Fleur ter Borg, retail has always been part of who she is. Before joining FrieslandCampina as an Account Manager Private Label Modern Retail at Velder, she worked as an Assistant Store Manager in a supermarket. The experience she gained there still shapes the way she works today.

Around one and a half years ago, Fleur joined FrieslandCampina in her current role. She is responsible for private label customers within Modern Retail and works closely with retail partners to connect their needs with the knowledge and capabilities available within Velder. What she enjoys most is the combination of commercial thinking and customer relationships.

Creating growth together

What Fleur enjoys most about her role is the combination of customer relationships and commercial impact.

"You are not just selling a product; you are really working together with the customer to develop the category and find opportunities for growth."

Her retail background helps her understand the challenges customers face every day.

"I know how important it is that an idea not only looks good on paper but also works in the store."

The power of collaboration

Collaboration plays an important role in everything she does. One of her highlights so far has been the implementation of the Borrel & Lunch strategy with two retail partners in the Netherlands. 

"This was not something we could have achieved individually. We brought together our knowledge of the category, the needs of the customer and the expertise of different colleagues to build something that works in the store." 

"You cannot do this job on your own. The best results come when you bring different people and areas of expertise together."

Looking ahead, Fleur is excited to continue building strong customer partnerships and developing the private label business.
