Insights & Data Analyst
This role drives the insights that fuel RoSSA OPCO business questions and decisions. Infuse Digital thinking into the business and build/apply new age (and digitally enabled) research methodologies.
Supports decision making based on data analysis – Data-driven decision making.
Lead qualitative and quantitative consumer research to understand customer preferences, behaviour, and buying patterns.
Analyze consumer data to uncover insights that inform brand strategy, marketing campaigns, product development, and customer experience improvements.
Conduct market analysis to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within dairy category.
Provide ongoing analysis of category dynamics, product performance, and market share data to inform decision-making.
Present clear, actionable recommendations based on consumer and market insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Translate complex data into easy-to-understand reports, dashboards, and presentations, tailoring insights to different audiences.
Monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through pre- and post-campaign analysis, measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as brand awareness, reach, and sales uplift.
Partner with the Marketing, R&D, Sales, and Innovation teams to ensure that all strategies are informed by relevant consumer and market data.
Support product development teams with trend analysis, new product testing, and concept validation through customer feedback.
Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behaviours, and cultural shifts that could influence the market.
Provide thought leadership by identifying new opportunities for growth, innovation, and brand differentiation.
Manage relationships with third-party research agencies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and provide valuable insights.
Wat we vragen
- Experience in consumer insights, market research, or a similar role, ideally within the FMCG or beverage industry.
- Proven ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research, including survey design, focus groups, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of market research tools, methodologies, and analytics platforms (e.g.IPSOS, Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in delivering insights to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
- Familiar with key performance metrics in brand marketing, product development, and commercial success.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Minimum BSC/HND degree in relevant field- Marketing, social science etc.
- Master’s Degree is a plus
- 3-6+ years experience in relevant fields in insights and consumer marketing management in FMCG
- Highly developed analytical/conceptual and problem-solving skills to build and present strategies, commercial/marketing plans and financial impact scenarios and control measures
- Strong insight background with ability to make data driven decisions and convert insights to strategy
- Deep understanding of economic realities of delivering and practical winning ways in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment
- Knowledge of regional and cultural nuance in Côte d’Ivoire and other West African countries
- Proficient in French and English (Business)

This role will manage the consumer insights function in the market to support the commercial, marketing and sales, team including innovation initiatives.
This role will be responsible for the Data Driven Decision process: To drive the insights that fuel OPCO business questions and decisions
- Provide guidance and consultancy in terms of most appropriate research solutions to address business needs/initiatives
- Initiate and manage strategic and ad hoc research projects
- Run ad hoc data analysis utilizing the FC data dashboard (iSearch Analytics)
- Interpret the data, derive insights, and recommend actions
- Steering the business by insights, being the advisor for various stakeholders
Support of Growth Hacking team in your market – Be the lead research person to support, implement and test solutions of specific Microbattles that focus on delivering high impact yet faster, agile solutions in growth-oriented environments.
Management and Implementation of research studies -- Coordinates research (continuous & ad hoc), analytics & data collection in categories involved, and ensures the application of standard methodologies in these research solutions. This includes all types of research qualitative, quantitative and desk research.
Infusion of Digital Thinking – Helps with developing the digital thinking and behavior into the business. Ability to work and adapt to new age research methodologies and ensures that these get cascaded in the OPCO.
