Production Shift Manager
Plan, direct, motivate, and lead the UHT filling and packing team to optimize plant capacity and efficiency, ensuring target output is achieved within the company’s quality standards and production budget. The role is also responsible for implementing safety systems, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement through Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventive Maintenance (PM) initiatives.
What we ask
Minimum of 2 years of working experience in any food manufacturing industry, with a degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience in dairy food processing and manufacturing operations.
Ability to operate food processing machinery, including conducting troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and cleaning.
Knowledge of quality control procedures and hygiene standards.
Familiarity with industry standards and practices such as GMP, HACCP, ATEX, 5S, Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Preventive Maintenance (PM), HIRADC, LOTO/LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

1. Safety
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 certification requirements, and the company’s SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) policies and Life Saving Rules (LSR) within your area of responsibility.
Contribute to DLMI’s SHE KPIs, such as achieving zero accidents and promoting energy and water savings.
Create a safe working environment by implementing machine safety guidelines and safe operating procedures.
Investigate any incidents occurring in the plant and report them to the SHE department.
2. Quality
Implement all standards in accordance with FOQUS, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, Halal requirements, the HACCP plan, and the DLMI Quality System.
Train staff and promote adherence to the Golden Quality Rules (GQR); encourage reporting of quality deviations and improvement ideas.
Report any deviations from the quality plan, CCP, OPRP, and QCP, and take corrective actions, including making decisions on the status of finished products.
Create and maintain a master list of in-process equipment for verification, calibration, and periodic maintenance, ensuring equipment results are accurate and reliable.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any quality deviations and respond to non-conformities (NC) in a timely manner.
Participate in investigations of product complaints related to quality issues.
Report and raise complaint memos for any deviations involving raw materials (RM) or packaging materials (PM) to QA/QC.
Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards throughout the plant.
Update all quality-related documentation as needed.
Ensure audit preparedness and readiness at all times.
3. Productivity
Ensure safe operations that produce quality outputs and meet production targets within the budgeted conversion cost.
Meet objectives and targets as outlined in the company’s goals and the plant’s KPIs.
Implement all necessary procedures and guidelines for effective production operations.
Minimize machine breakdowns and short stops by ensuring all machinery and equipment are well-maintained and operating efficiently to meet output targets.
Lead WCOM (World Class Operations Management) R projects and drive the implementation of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) teams.
Manage, motivate, and counsel employees on misconduct and frequent medical leave to improve morale and productivity.
Prepare manpower schedules and ensure overtime submissions are completed before the deadline.
Support shift operations and serve as a backup for the Shift Manager when required.
Lead overtime optimization and operator multitasking initiatives in the plant.
Organize routine and new process training for operators when necessary.

The Filling and Packing Department plays a crucial role in the UHT milk production process. After milk undergoes ultra-high temperature sterilization to ensure safety and long shelf life, it moves to our filling and packing lines where it is carefully packaged under sterile conditions.
