Architecture Specialist Azure Cloud Services
Shaping the Azure cloud and hosting architecture and strategy. Keeps deep technical expertise in Azure cloud architecture and possesses the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions to drive a successful cloud adoption and modernization journey. Responsible for designing and implementing the foundational infrastructure and governance framework required to ensure the secure, scalable, and compliant deployment of cloud and hosting resources for an organization. The primary goal is to create a standardized and efficient approach to building and managing cloud environments, ensuring that best practices are followed, and security is maintained. Define the Azure Cloud foundational code-base (= guardrails, policies, templates, pipelines, automations and code as defined by enablement capability).
What we ask
- Bachelor degree or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field Expert technical knowledge; continuously broaden knowledge by training. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Professional Cloud Architect). Has knowledge of different hosting and cloud concepts and follows the development of cloud technology (for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) closely.
- 10+ years of proven track record in IT/Hosting/Cloud Operations. In depth knowledge and experience of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps way of Working, YAML templates.
- Understands details of cost management, pipelines, automations, inner-sourcing, git repositories. Is always up to date with cloud developments and transmits them to the organization. Has the ability to switch quickly between –and bring together- business development teams and external cloud suppliers.
- Extensive experience in cloud and hosting consulting, architecture, or related roles. In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms and services offered by major cloud providers.
- Strong understanding of IT security, compliance, and data privacy best practices. Has the scope in mind and strives to achieve them by using cloud technology.
- Strong business acumen and excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions.
- Has expert-level understanding of Azure platform components, has following Azure certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400 and AZ-500 and of AWS with similar advanced technical certifications.
- Expert knowledge on IEC 62443
- Expertise in DevOps practices and principles, the concepts of IaC, to govern the build of ARM (Azure Resource Manager) and CloudFormation templates within FC – to ensure quality of code.
- Comfortable with JSON, Python, YAML and managing Cloud pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Vacancy description
- Develop and maintain an Azure Cloud Foundation with cloud landing zones, policies, access control, architecture principles, design, and security standards for hosting & cloud; among which Azure network and security design, tool deployment.
- Design and implement DevOps & deployment standards, governance and best practices, including access and code quality controls.
- Design and implement product catalogues with IaC or PaaS products and standards to facilitate the Product teams, including mechanisms to facilitate and govern Inner sourcing between DevOps teams.
- Implementation of policies and principles in the platform environments (Azure), using concepts such as infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines. Thereby ensuring security compliance.
- Actively contribute to achievement of the Azure cloud strategy and economics. Proactively analyses new services and technologies where it is fit into the overall architecture.
- Proactively investigate new hosting / cloud technologies to improve the FC hosting / cloud solution architecture. Review detailed cloud and hosting service architectures against Security & Architecture standards and provide relevant input to the Service delivery lead.
- Closely collaborates with all IT domains, with EA and IRS to implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and implement Security integrations layer (SOC/SIEM, IAM, Conformity, other.). Ensures end-to-end consistency of technologies contributing to operational excellence and business agility.
- Contribute proactively to the automation roadmap: what can be automated, what standard tools are available, how to use them, etc.
- Support cost optimization within the Azure environments; looking at efficiency improvements or new technology such as new versions of compute, new models etc. and where applicable to RFC.
- Development of customer cloud and hosting strategies, aligned with customer’s business objectives and with a focus on cloud migrations and security.
- Design of client’s Cloud environments with a focus on Azure and demonstrate Technical Cloud Architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development Cloud and on prem Infrastructures running in 24x7 environments.
- Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques including mass application movements into the cloud including implementation of Azure within in large, regulated enterprise environment. Moving applications with a V2V from legacy hosting environment to fit for purpose standardized hosting environments
- Is recognized as a subject matter expert in the field of hosting / multi-cloud. Help to grow business by innovative contributions to existing and future initiatives.
