Manager Customer Supply Chain
Are you looking for a new challenge within Supply Chain Management? FrieslandCampina is looking for a true business partner for end to end Supply Chain management. In this role, you will be driving strategic discussion on footprint, make or buy, distribution network optimization, supplier sourcing, VICO pipeline, monitoring operational elements of cost stewardship/ savings and internal control. You will help to continuously seek best-in-class internally and externally as benchmarks to reapply and actively use technology to create analytics, simplify and shorten lead-times. You will co-drive strategy development and translation to short and medium term targets.
What we ask
- Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management
- > 7 years work experience and knowledge of Supply Chain within the FMCG
- S&OP experience, preferably of Gartner maturity level 3 or 4
- Drive continuous improvement culture & mindset
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary matrix organisation
- Capable to build a true relation of trust with both commercial and supply chain business partners
- Well-developed analytical skills
- Competence and confidence to lead the transformation from the existing way of working to the new way of working based on the new template and tools (change management)

Vacancy description
Customer SC Strategy Supply
- Provide input to the Customer SC and Business Group S&OP strategy.
- Develop and ensure execution of the Plan policy for own S&OP in line with the Business Group and Corporate Plan strategy.
- Contribute pro-actively to the strategic planning process (ICP / 12Q).
- Manage service on time in full for our market.
- Manage waste performance for our market.
S&OP Process
- Align with other Customer SCs, BG, Enterprise S&OP and third party suppliers, to drive the execution of the S&OP process (operational and tactical horizon), organize all meetings according to the FrieslandCampina standards, support and facilitate the financial forecasting process.
- Balance demand and supply in the most optimal way in terms of volume, revenues, costs and margin and develop scenarios for decision making.
- Provide procurement, supply points and deliver departments with production plans in line with service levels, inventory, production and MVA parameters, targets and guidelines.
- Optimize and implement changes to the supply network of the S&OP, in line with targets and guidelines (focus on OTIF and EBIT improvement), while understanding the impact for supply points connected to the network. Manage supply planning resources (capacity, critical materials, human resources) strategy & development for the S&OP.
Supply Chain Planning Network
- Manage team responsible for preparing and optimizing the operational and tactical planning for the global supply network (internal and external capacity); by balancing demand, inventory and production and packaging capacity, identify constraints and opportunities as input for S&OP and acquire agreement with the assigned supply points on the supply plan (tactical, operational as well as day to day (local) execution).
- Responsible for production planning, (raw) materials planning and intra- supply planning.
- Develop relationships of trust with both internal & external parties, e.g. suppliers.
- Discuss market needs and technical capabilities .
Inventory & Working Capital Management
- Define and implement inventory and replenishment targets and apply inventory segmentation effectively.
- Manage and optimize working capital in line with the agreed targets according to the inventory management guidelines, replenish relevant warehouses (in line with targets), follow up on aging stock and obsoletes and acquire agreement with demand, source and deliver (day-to-day contact and fixed meeting structure).
KPIs and Continuous Improvement & Management Information
- Observe and evaluate bottlenecks and identify opportunities and drives improvement actions in demand planning and demand consolidation related processes, planning systematics, procedures and/or systems, and ensure implementation of improvements after approval.
- Be the owner of KPI dashboards, insights and decision documents regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical (e.g. S&OP, budget, RF and LRP) and ad hoc reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelines to drive PDCA cycle in your area of expertise.
- Continuously look for opportunities & improvements within daily work context and take ownership in implementing solutions.
Team Management
- Lead and develop a team through coaching and feedback to maximize performance of themselves and respective team.
- Establish and optimize team processes to balance dynamic business priorities.
- Embed mechanisms that allow oversight of active projects, resource allocation, tracking to completion and ‘telling the story’.
