Digital Risk & Control Specialist - Continuous Monitoring & AI
The Digital Risk & Control Specialist (CCM & AI) is responsible for ensuring that assigned processes and entities operate effectively “In Control” through the execution of Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) activities. The role focuses on monitoring compliance, identifying control gaps, and providing actionable, data‑driven insights to strengthen the internal control environment.
In addition, the position actively supports the development and application of AI‑enabled control assessment solutions, enhancing the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of control testing while operating within established governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Wat we vragen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies, and risk and control principles
- Experience working with data analytics, dashboards, and continuous monitoring or reporting solutions
- High affinity with automation and artificial intelligence, with a willingness to contribute to the development of AI‑enabled control assessment solutions
- Strong analytical capabilities, with high attention to detail and a proactive, structured approach to work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international, multicultural environment
- Demonstrates high ethical standards, integrity, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Vacaturetekst
Your daily work will include:
- Execute risk‑based Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM) activities and control testing in line with defined methodologies and standards.
- Perform design and operating effectiveness assessments to evaluate the robustness of key controls.
- Analyse control deviations, identify root causes, and support timely remediation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare clear, concise documentation, dashboards, and management reports that provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with control owners, Risk & Control (R&C) colleagues, and IT/ICT teams to ensure effective end‑to‑end control coverage.
- Contribute to the development and continuous enhancement of AI‑enabled control assessment solutions.
- Support the ongoing improvement of CCM methodologies, automation capabilities, and data analytics to strengthen the overall control environment.

The international team is based in Amersfoort, Budapest, Kuala Lumpur and respective countries (Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe) with a crucial role in monitoring and managing risks globally; They drive the Enterprise Risk Management program, establish strong control measures where the organisation is at risk through the Internal Control Framework and continuously drive resolutions and improvement when risk materialise, audit findings arise and processes & systems evolve over time. This position is based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia and reports directly to the Associate Director Governance & Technology in the Netherlands.
