Specification Specialist
As specification specialist you will be responsible for maintaining and improving specification related data for consumer products like cheese, yoghurt, milk- and yoghurt drinks and quark.
This in close collaboration with product development teams for Europe, Retail & America’s, MEPA and other disciplines like regulatory and quality. And of course together with your colleagues in the specification management team.

What we ask
- HBO (Master) degree, preferably in the area of Food Safety/Quality/Regulatory, Quality Assurance or Nutrition & health.
- > 3 years relevant working experience in a Food environment (knowledge on our product portfolio is a pre).
- Strong quality awareness, open minded, willing to look for solutions.
- Accurate, analytical, structured in way of working, independent worker and team player.
- Customer focused and able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best result.
- Experience in a (SAP) PLM tool and power BI.
- Excellent communication skills in preferably Dutch and English.

Vacancy description
Having specifications which are complete, accurate and up to date is crucial to our brands and company. As specification specialist you are responsible for the creation and maintenance of product related specifications for the commercial Europe, Retail & America’s and MEPA portfolio.
This portfolio consists of products for consumers in many product categories like cheese, yoghurt, milk- and yoghurt drinks and quark. You will be responsible for creation and maintenance of relevant specification types like raw material and finished product, the latter including the relevant label information. The specification data is maintained in a PLM tool for which you are a go to person for support being one of the Key Users. Next to this you play a major role in increasing data quality by creating relevant insights using Power BI and communicating with the relevant stakeholders.
You will collaborate with product developers, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and supply chain colleagues mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium but also others inside and outside Europe.
For questions related to specifications you will be a point of contact for the internal customers and stakeholders for your part of the product portfolio. For this you use your relevant skills being a team player, pro-active, accurate and looking for efficient solutions when needed.

The specification team consists of 8 persons and is part of the R&D team for Europe, Retail & America’s consisting of about 30 people based in the Innovation Centre in Wageningen. In the Innovation Centre we work together with colleagues from over 30 nationalities who work together in an inspiring environment. Where, consumers, customers and employees of FrieslandCampina from all over the world can experience our tasty products.
