Team Leader Master Data
The Enterprise Data strategic vision is to provide and ensure E2E business relevant data & insights on a daily basis. This is done via a number of “Pillars of Excellence” as follows:
• Business drivers - What business drivers do we want to improve?
• Data Quality & consistency - How do we clean, validate & standardize master data? And keep it like this?
• Information Infrastructure - How to optimize our infrastructure to host, maintain and share the master data effectively?
What we ask
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant area, e.g. Finance, Business Administration
- 3+ years of relevant senior level work experience in master data management work experience
- 2+ years’ experience in managing a team of 6 or more
- Experience in managing a global, diverse group, located in different locations is an advantage
- Shared Services experience preferred
- Experience with project management, continuous improvement
- Excellent people and stakeholder management (motivation, coaching)

Vacancy description
People management
• Lead and manage a data steward team
• Contribute to the development of the department plan based on own expertise and activities of own team.
• Participate in hiring and evaluation processes, involvement in employee reward program, promotion, and salary raise discussions and decisions
• Motivate and develop the team, performance feedback weekly/monthly
Day to day management of requests and changes
• Fully understand the data maintenance processes and use this knowledge to effectively manage future system data changes
• Hold the daily status meeting with Master Data Manager
• Check and approve master data creation and/or change requests, in line with data quality standards and agreed governance
• Efficiently monitor tickets, prioritise and deal/dispatch to achieve fulfilment of KPIs (within data quality standards)
• Keep regular communication with all interested parties, ensuring that they know the status of pending requests and any related issues
• Ensure that the team member who acts as a backup to the role in the event of annual leave, sickness, etc. is fully trained with the necessary knowledge and skills to cover the role
Supporting the business
• Act as first line support (point of information and escalation) for the business
• Understand different business areas and related data management needs
• Organise and provide necessary training to the local data stewards and local power users within the region
• Build and maintain good relationship with the business (e.g.: requestors, local data stewards, etc.)
