Manager Technology
The technology department of FrieslandCampina in Veghel – the largest dairy processing site in the world – is undergoing one of the most ambitious transformations in the industry. Over the coming years, the factory will evolve into a smart, sustainable, and future-proof production site, driven by major investments and a shift towards new raw materials and advanced processing technologies. All of this will happen while production continues at full scale — making this a uniquely complex and high-impact environment.
As a Technology Manager, you will take ownership of key parts of this transformation. You will lead a team of technologists and drive improvements in critical processes such as evaporation, crystallization, filtration, and industrial packaging.
You will play a central role in delivering a multi-million investment program, guiding both people and technology through change — ensuring that new processes, products, and ways of working are successfully implemented in a controlled and sustainable way.
This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, combines strong process technology expertise with leadership skills, and is motivated to make a real impact on a site that operates at global scale.
Ce que nous demandons
- Relevant Master degree in fields such as chemical engineering, bioprocess engineering or data science.
- We ask proven experience in leading people and managing changes.
- Communication on different levels to help steer the changes is key (e.g. influencing skills, creating impact) towards senior stakeholders and our major client. As such, the ability to lead change in strategic themes in a structured manner with multiple disciplines is key.
- You own the capability roadmap on assigned technology scope. Solid communication skills in English I required, while mastery of Dutch is a very strong plus, but not required.

In this role, you combine people leadership, process technology, and change management:
- Lead and develop a team of 7 technologists in lactose processing and industrial packaging
- Ensure daily production continuity (“fixing the basics”)
- Build and execute the technology roadmap for lactose and permeate processing
- Manage a portfolio of projects within a multi-million investment program
- Act as a key stakeholder manager towards internal teams and critical external partners
- You continuously balance operational excellence with long-term transformation.
