QA Officer
The SPL Operations aims to sustain compliance on FoQuS SHE, FoQuS FS&Q and FSSC 22000 standards, and to improve the operational efficiencies. This role is a frontline leadership role. Successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day laboratory operations and will be responsible for compliance with ISO 17025 accreditation requirements. You will not only be leading the safe operation, basic maintenance of laboratory equipment but also provide input into process improvement initiatives. As part of our highly focused team, you will work closely with the Microbiology/Sensory laboratory team, Milk Powder, Condensed Milk and UHT production team to support daily laboratory operations. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with minimum 2-year laboratory and quality experience. Previous liquid or powder milk testing lab experience will be an advantage.As a natural leader, you will have a passion for developing and training peers and be able to work under minimal supervision while operating in a high-pressure environment. You will be working on a rotating roster, where you have to work night shifts as well.

To be successful in this position, you must:
- be a Graduate of BS Biology, Microbiology and related field with at least 2 years of experience and/or equivalent exposure in the field of Quality testing / inspection; Registered Microbiologist is a plus.
- Be knowledgeable in Quality System – ISO 9001, FSSC and ISO 17025, with in-depth understanding on the laboratory quality system, Good Laboratory Practices and standards
- have an exceptional leadership skills and sense of accountability to supervise and manage staff with understanding of the KPI system
- be flexible, has the ability to train, motivate, meeting/exceeding deadlines and work under pressure
- have a strong multitasking, time management, oral and written communication skills
- have a problem-solving mindset and ability to deliver results in a time-constraint environment.
- have experience with Food Hygiene, GMP, 5S, Continuous Improvement, Quality Management System in a food, beverage, or pharmaceutical environment, a plus.

- Drive compliance with the Laboratory Quality Management System requirements, GLP, Hygiene, Food Safety, 5S and other applicable instructions and standards
- Support in HACCP and QCP study, Cleaning Validation, GMP inspections, internal and external audits and be involved in Project management as lead or as a subject matter expert.
- Customer-oriented and promptly communicate feedback/laboratory results to stakeholders and relevant departments.
- Promote quality awareness across the company. Contribute to competence development of quality mindset across the organization and conduct training for their specific areas of expertise.
- Define and update the specific quality procedures, instruction, and tools.
