Process Development Specialist Structuring Technology
The Process Development Specialist Structuring Technology is responsible for uncovering the mechanisms of process / product interactions which leads to the desired product texture and structure. We will strive for First Time Right testing and implementation in order to prevent waste and out of specification products (physical product characteristics) by means of selecting and controlling the equipment & processes in up- and down scaling.
Was wir erwarten
- Academic/Master or PhD degree in Food Technology, Process Technology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- +5 years of experience in (industrial) process development in food processing experience.
- +3 years of established experience in understanding liquid food structuring processing is a must (e.g. emulsification, encapsulation, (high) shearing).
- Excellent knowledge in the field of food physics & rheology. Preferred experience & understanding of fluid dynamics.
- A hands-on mentality needed for organising and analysing factory and pilot plant trials.
- Experience with data analysis tools like Minitab, PowerBI, or Python/R is preferrable.
- Systematic problem solving attitude (experience with RCA).
Entrepreneurial and open attitude.
Excellent communication and reporting skills in English.
A team player with a talent for keeping things in perspective and structured.
Key competences: results oriented, decisiveness and organizational sensitivity.
Willingness to travel (inter)national to production sites, suppliers and partners (less than 20%) .

Stellenbeschreibung
- Investigate the influence of processing on the product’s characteristic, quality, and stability in scaling up and scaling down processes.
- Create the Design of Experiment (DoE) and coordinate the execution of the trials/experiments and translate the findings into tangible conclusions.
- Investigate Critical to Quality process parameters with thorough scientific tools and methodologies.
- Have open, challenging and strong interaction with relevant product and process technology experts in Friesland Campina R&D and Technology departments.
- Present and defend the findings to internal and external relevant (sr.) stakeholders or peers.
- Initiate new process solutions in the area of structuring technology for new and existing products based on your knowledge and network.
Typical technologies you will be working with are preservation technologies, homogenization/shear and structuring/texturizing technologies. You will also be working closely together with our preservation and cleaning technology experts.

Your working location base will be in the Innovation Centre in Wageningen (The Netherlands). Our Innovation Centre in Wageningen consists of four parts: a large Pilot Plant with cooling and storage warehouses and three buildings in which the offices and the strictly hygienic laboratories are housed. Pedestrian bridges and atriums connect the different parts with each other. The centre also includes an experience centre, an innovation kitchen and a test bakery. Here, consumers, customers and employees of FrieslandCampina from all over the world can experience our tasty products. In order to accelerate and strengthen our innovation process, we also work together with innovation partners such as Wageningen University & Research Centre, other knowledge institutes, our member dairy farmers, customers and suppliers in the Innovation Centre.
