Exploring the business from every angle

Hani joined FrieslandCampina in 2015 as Operational Audit Manager, based in Dubai. Since then, his path has taken him through Risk and Control Manager for MENA, and a series of Finance Operations roles across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and now the wider MENA region. "Each move gave me a different angle on the business," he reflects, "and each one asked something a little different of me."

One of his achievements that stands out above the rest is building a credit committee process that could hold up across a region as complex as MENA. "We had to keep things running smoothly for our customers and banks, even while navigating local geopolitical turbulence, all without losing sight of our global credit policy," Hani explains. The result speaks for itself: MENA has been performing quite well on compliance, alongside consistently strong cashflow positions and a healthier trade working capital position built through close alignment with customers, banks, and corporate treasury.

Leadership through inclusion and empowerment

For Hani, FrieslandCampina's values of being inclusive and empowering feel most like him. His team spans four locations, five nationalities, and a close-to-even gender split. "That mix is what makes the environment feel so alive," he says. "My job is to make sure that wherever someone sits, they feel just as able to lead and make decisions as anyone else in the room." It's a philosophy he carries with a simple personal compass of honesty and transparency, values that shape not just how he leads, but how he shows up every day.
