Intern Sustainability large language model (LLM) and text analytics data science
Within Friesland Campina we have an ambitious sustainability strategy which we drive not just with passion but also data. While this is standard practice for numerically driven commitments, there are large numbers of qualitative, text-based data points which require the same kind of data driven approaches as their numeric counter parts. This internship position focuses on using latest technologies to help our sustainability colleagues to analyze text in the same data driven way as we are used to with numeric key performance indicators (KPI) / commitments.

To be successful in this position, you:
- Are enrolled in a relevant university program with a focus on data analysis and / or sustainability
- Have programming skills ideally in Python and PySpark (this is a must)
- Have experience in SQL, Databricks and AZURE knowledge (this is a plus)
- Have knowledge of text analytics techniques and experience and / or interest in dealing with large pieces of text and documents in a programmatic way
- Have a can-do mentality towards solving tasks for which new skills need to be acquired fast

In the offered position, you will be working on
- Developing generic methodologies around extraction, validation and verification of text-based data (data science part)
- Scale these analytics insights (engineering part of the internship) to enable insights of large number of documents.
- Support sustainability colleagues in extracting and visualizing results from text.

In this position you will be located in between the Corporate Sustainability and sustainability analytics group. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team located in the innovation center in Wageningen and / or Amersfoort offices which works on supporting a variety of FrieslandCampina internal stakeholders with data and analytics (D&A) insights.
