Controlling Commercial Analyst
In this commercial controlling role you will work at FrieslandCampina Professional & Trading, our BTB Unit that serves professional customers worlwide. You will act as financial business partner to the Butter and Liquids sales teams of our Business Unit Trading.
The Business Unit Trading focuses on three roles in a global environment: First is to “Beat the Market” in selling and sourcing commodity products in Cheese, Butter, Milk powder and liquids to drive the best result for the company. Second is to help the company to drive the best valorisation decisions based on price guidance and diary market intel. Third is to cover Commodity Price Risk Management to mitigate risk and optimize pricing by active position management.
Was wir erwarten
- Pro-active and curious mindset, with a natural strive to keeps things pragmatic;
- Trading mindset and way of working (performance vs risk, low cost mindset, volatile prices)
- Strong in stakeholdermanagement, to work in close alignment with Supply Chain
- 3-6 years of relevant business controlling or finance experience
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields;
- Systems knowledge: experience with SAP and PowerBI is a plus. Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint required;
- Feeling accountable, hands-on.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Provide fact based analysis and insights for commercial decision making
- Provide all relevant, fact based, info regarding risk management (WCCM)
- Be the business partner of commercial teams, support the development and execution of Sales / Account plans
- Explain complex/technical financial issues in simple terms
- Support pricing execution (in alignment with pricing guidelines), liaise with BG Pricing function
- Make analysis and give advice based on findings and analyze customer- and product-portfolio performance over different markets, including valorization decisions and/ or alternatives
- Prepare the commercial outlooks
- Providing adequate business analysis on realization of actuals versus plans
To succeed, you will not only need the ability to analyze data, but also sell the message and put changes into motion. While creating overview, you also will regularly dive deep into the business and use your interpersonal skills to build relationships with, and influence a variety of people. This does require a degree of organizational sensitivity, in addition to an open and persuasive manner of communicating.

In this function, you will report directly to the Finance Director Trading. You are part of the Finance department of the Business Group Professional & Trading and part of Business Unit Trading. You are based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
