You will be in charge of maintaining and growing our market share in both volume and profit in a highly competitive local environment. You will be responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy and plan for the German region and defined customer portfolio, which involves setting priorities. These priorities are growing our share of wallet & grow customer penetration. Managing your customer portfolio through a wholesale mechanism is the base of Horeca & Bakery. The relation with these distribution partners is a crucial task you need to execute with a full cross-functional approach (sales, marketing, finance, pricing, etc.). You will also be navigating in a complex region that requires dealing with various local stakeholders and competitive dynamics.

  • Bachelor or University degree
  • Mastering German and English
  • Digital savvy: CRM knowledge (Salesforce is a plus), Data driven decision making, Social Media Opt-Ins etc.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience in similar functions
  • Customer centricity mindset and able to act with speed and decisiveness to achieve the best results
  • Responsibility for your work and are continuously looking for new opportunities to make a change
  • Commercial Acumen: Executing regional strategy that aligns with local market needs & opportunities

Vacaturetekst

The Key Account Manager Germany will be managing the business for the defined customer group in Germany. Your main responsibility will be to optimize this region by unlocking growth perspective via new customer activation & expanding the full product portfolio via our partner wholesalers. At the same time, you will maintain our profitability levels handling the different market dynamics in this region. Growing customer reach digitally in geographical areas that cover the largest number of operators of Horeca & Bakery is also part of the focus. This position requires mature and experienced negotiation capabilities, customer focus and entrepreneurship. Main accountabilities are:

  • Manage top wholesalers & main A&B customers in Germany
  • Customer management with full P&L responsibility for defined customers
  • Full responsibility of annual negotiations for defined customers
  • Responsibility of volume development and execution in line with the FC-P strategy for defined customers
  • Developing measures to sustainably increase customer profitability and long-term customer loyalty
  • Development of customer strategies based on brand and channel strategies as well as customer-specific marketing concepts
  • Maintain Joint Business Planning at strategic distribution partners (wholesalers, Cash & Carry, local distributors)
  • Optimizing the speed, efficiency, and quality of all customer-related processes
  • Use of market and competition analyses to expand our own market position
  • Representation of FC-P at main events and fairs

This position is part of the Horeca & Bakery Netherlands & Export team within FrieslandCampina Professional Europe. The Nordics & DACH Team consists of 2 Nordics account managers; 2 DACH account managers and 2 DACH Sales assistants and is led by the Sales Manager DACH & Nordics. The Sales Manager DACH & Nordics reports to the Commercial Lead for Horeca & Bakery Netherlands & Export who sits on the FCP Europe MT.
